We are a rural property in a scenic location. Nearby is Fearn Abbey circa 1246, the amazing ANTA Pottery and Highlands Unbridled Trail Riding and Trekking Centre. The village of Ballintore is 1 mile away and has a beach overlooking the Moray Firth a pub, shop and pharmacy. We are close to Portmahomack which has a lovely long beach with views to the mountains of Sutherland, seafood restaurant, shop, golf course. You can visit the Tarbat Discovery Centre to learn about our Pictish History and standing stones which form part of the Pictish Trail. Just north of Portmahomack is Tarbat Ness Lighthouse built in 1830 by Robert Stevenson The Town of Tain is 10 minute drive away and has many facilities including, Bars, Restaurants, Supermarkets, Banks and Shops. Tain also has its own museum, golf course, glassworks studio, pottery and of course the Glenmorangie Whisky Distillery. Many tourist attractions are within a short driving distance including, Dunrobbin Castle and Royal Dornoch Golf Course. We are an ideal place to stay if you are planning to tour either part of, or the complete NC500 road trip.
