Das Zimmer war eher klein Frühstück erst ab 8.00 Uhr, keine Sonderregelungen möglich das Bad/die Toilette winzig klein, bei jeder Wasserbenutzung sprang eine total laute Pumpe an

Ein freundlicher Empfang, hilfsbereit. Ich war nur für eine Nacht dort und konnte sehr gut schlafen.

Sam, the b&b operator is just fabulous and very helpful with the local activities and planning.

Our full-service room with private bath was somewhat disturbing. Though this house is old and beautiful, as a b&b, our private bath had its very own loud / vibrating water pump which was extremely disturbing.

Room very comfortable. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast ok staff very attentive and friendly. Guesthouse very clean and tidy.Downside was the location quite a long walk from city centre.

I like the style of the rooms and the silent of the area. The owner was a very friendly and welcoming person. I really enjoyed my stay there and I will raccomend the hotel to friends.

The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and efficient, and provided the extras I asked for (a full-length mirror and iron/ironing board). The B&B is in an excellent location if you like quiet plus decent proximity. It's a 15-minute walk to the castle; a 30-45 minute stroll to the Royal Mile through some lovely parkland and neighborhoods, and close to great public transit buses. There seemed to be a lot of cabs about, too. The area is urban residential with lots of cafes, plus cash machines and a Marks and Spencer. The B&B is on a side street just a few safe blocks from the main drag. I awoke to the sounds of birds each morning; the coffee was wonderful; and the other guests were friendly and considerate.

There was no outlet near the head of my bed, and only a dim table lamp at the foot of it. It would have been nice to have some better lighting: maybe a lamp installed on the wall at the head of the bed? The bathroom was also dimly lit. However, I didn't ask for brighter bulbs, just made do, so can't comment on how the staff would have responded to a request, though they were great with all my other ones so probably they would have done something about that too. The room could use a mirror, but the place had recently had some work done, so maybe they hadn't gotten round to putting one up.

Welcoming, straightforward, good breakfastroom. The location was ideal for shopping, coffee shops and a large meadows two minutes away to relax in. Easy access to Edinburgh, walking or bus.

I hadn't realised my room wasn't en-suite. This wasn't made clear.

I think that the welcome and helpfulness given to us by Sam was the best thing about our stay. The surroundings were lovely, but the atmosphere created by our host even outshone the hotel.

If I had to make one remark that was disparaging it would be that the carpet on the very steep stairs could have used a bit of repair to keep it solid on a couple of the sharp turnings.

Very welcoming, great location and excellent value. Love the decor and the room was really impressive.
