I stayed here for one night of my two months traveling around Europe and it was the best place I stayed. The staff was amazing.. The style of the hotel was awesome. I slept very well and it was clean. Breakfast was very well cooked. I highly recommend this hotel!
The mattress was a little past its best
had a nice 2 day break very nice hotel to stay in

traffic noise. bathroom fan very noisey.decor a bit dated.bathroom could of been bit cleaner.
The welcome, bedroom and breakfast. Everything was perfect.
Very warm welcome, with attention to detail and personal attention given by the owner during our stay. Very convenient for Torquay centre.
Attentive host Comfortable bed TV that worked Breakfast
Steep hill from town centre (but that's Torquay)
Very attractive decor, furnishings and facilities in the two rooms we stayed in - one one week and a different one the next. Charming host in Andrew and great breakfast efficiently served.
We were made very welcome and shown the facilities. We had a lovely well maintained room and excellent bathroom all spotlessly clean. Good selection for breakfast and hot food cooked to order. Happily stay again.
Cant think of anything.
Location, a short downhill walk into the town.
Uphill on the way back. The drive is very steep.
We could imagine ourselves being at an old fashioned house party. The decor was lovely.
We didn't find anything we did not like.
A short walking distance from the town centre but far enough away from traffic to be lovely and quiet at night. The building was full of character & original features. The service, hospitality and breakfast were all fantastic. The owners Andrew & Angie were superb hosts and very knowledgeable and helpful in planning excursions, activities & restaurants in the local area. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back!
Nothing to dislike!
Great host, personalized care, attention to detail. Great varied breakfast. Location.
Seagulls are noisy in the morning. We were on one of top rooms and got woken up around 6am. They'd go away after a while.
Made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The owners were willing to accommodate us and contacted us soon after booking to ensure that we had the right set up for our family. The hotel is old fashioned and this adds to its charm. It is very clean and well presented and some rooms have very recently been refurbished, with new showers etc. On leaving the children were given some snacks which was a lovely gesture.
The hotel is on a steep incline but the website did state this so was not a surprise.
The warm welcome when we arrived. The excellent choice for breakfast. Informative about the local area.
The reception from andrew the owner was very welcoming. He showed us around all areas of the building that we would be using through out our stay. He was very informative and friendly during are stay,an excellent host. We had nice hot showers,a comfortable bed and very clean through out. The breakfast was excellent, offering a very good selection on the menu. Would recommend to family and friends.
Perfect location Breakfast Staff hospitality throughout our stay. We arrived very very late following a long drive from London and the bar was very kindly kept open for us so we could have a well earned refreshment before bed.
