We were made very welcome and shown the facilities. We had a lovely well maintained room and excellent bathroom all spotlessly clean. Good selection for breakfast and hot food cooked to order. Happily stay again.
Cant think of anything.
Location, a short downhill walk into the town.
Uphill on the way back. The drive is very steep.
We could imagine ourselves being at an old fashioned house party. The decor was lovely.
We didn't find anything we did not like.
A short walking distance from the town centre but far enough away from traffic to be lovely and quiet at night. The building was full of character & original features. The service, hospitality and breakfast were all fantastic. The owners Andrew & Angie were superb hosts and very knowledgeable and helpful in planning excursions, activities & restaurants in the local area. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back!
Nothing to dislike!
Great host, personalized care, attention to detail. Great varied breakfast. Location.
Seagulls are noisy in the morning. We were on one of top rooms and got woken up around 6am. They'd go away after a while.
Made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The owners were willing to accommodate us and contacted us soon after booking to ensure that we had the right set up for our family. The hotel is old fashioned and this adds to its charm. It is very clean and well presented and some rooms have very recently been refurbished, with new showers etc. On leaving the children were given some snacks which was a lovely gesture.
The hotel is on a steep incline but the website did state this so was not a surprise.
The warm welcome when we arrived. The excellent choice for breakfast. Informative about the local area.
The reception from andrew the owner was very welcoming. He showed us around all areas of the building that we would be using through out our stay. He was very informative and friendly during are stay,an excellent host. We had nice hot showers,a comfortable bed and very clean through out. The breakfast was excellent, offering a very good selection on the menu. Would recommend to family and friends.
Perfect location Breakfast Staff hospitality throughout our stay. We arrived very very late following a long drive from London and the bar was very kindly kept open for us so we could have a well earned refreshment before bed.
Great breakfast, Great welcome. Easy to find. Local ale and cider available. Enjoyed the stay.
The warm welcome. The comfort and layout of the family room in terms of our situation, being grandparents with two boys ages 11 and 9 yrs. The very attractive decore in a very interesting, older building.
The tricky approach to the car parking facility and the relatively steep steps to the entrance.
Owner very friendly and location of hotel good for the harbour
Warm welcome and a cup of tea or coffee on arrival. Excellent breakfast
Low water pressure on shower.
We loved are stay at the Robin hill, Andrew was very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble, breakfast was lovely and a big selection to choose from, Boys are already missing Andrew.
Excellent service all round. Outstanding meet and greet
We loved the hotel, the staff we wonderful and welcoming. The location is great, and the family room that we had was perfect.
The staff and the breakfast.
Friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed, good breakfast an enjoyable place. A beautiful house.
Arrived early evening to be greeted by Andrew who helped up park our car. Lovely hotel within walking distance to the town centre. Hotel is old and Andrew is doing a grand job at keeping it's charm. The breakfast was first class and top quality products used. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend.
Arrive early to avoid parking difficulties.
Unfortunately still recovering from the storms earlier this year with damage being repaired. It would be unfair to comment on things I did not like.
The owner was very friendly & helpful a pleasure to talk to, would be happy to return for another stay
Great host, felt very welcome. The building has a lot of character and is a short (but steep) walk from the town. Parking a bit tricky on a steep driveway, good breakfast and a great view over the harbour
For starters, we received a warm welcome, were showed into our room and made comfortable. Even our dog was fussed over and I should add was able to stay free of extra charge. A little dog bed and water bowl were available upon request. The room was small, but very clean, wifi was readily available everywhere. The shower was warm with a decent water flow. The tea & coffee in the room were kept well topped up. The lounge allowed you to stay in for a quiet drink, and read from their library, or enjoy the radio. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the harbour. Every morning, breakfast is prepared to order, with a selection of cereals and continental breakfast options or a delicious full English breakfast, which we had both days. (Breakfast was also included in the price.) The establishment is family run, with Andrew graciously at the forefront of all front of house duties from check-ins to serving breakfast and attending the bar. He is always very pleasant and accommodating. When we forgot a ring in our room, he even offered to post it to us. We really couldn't be more pleased with the experience in these ways. From middle aged couples and families to younger couples there were all types of guests who all seemed quite pleased.
The only little thing for us were that the bed in our room wasn't the comfiest. It may be that the mattresses need changing soon or that we are used to firmer beds. But despite the very lovely and soft pillows, we both had a bit of trouble sleeping comfortably, with my fiance getting up with a bad neck. Hopefully this is just our unfortunate experience.
Good value. A great location, Friendly staff, Comfortable refurbished room and pet friendly . There was a wide Breakfast choice for meat eaters, less so for vegetarians
