On the beach front, the 2-star Chequers Plaza Hotel looks out over Queen’s Promenade to the Irish Sea. It has free Wi-Fi, free limited parking and excellent full English breakfasts.

In a quiet area with free parking, The Carlee has a homey atmosphere, good hot breakfasts and is walking distance from Blackpool Tower and South Pier.

Unfortunately the trip was ruined on the last day. The guy greeted us on the last day asking if our car had an immobiliser because he couldn't move it. When he moved the car from the front to the back, he had turned the lights on and then didn't turn them off. When you leave the car, it bleeps to say you have left the lights on. Therefore as a result of this, the battery went flat. The side mirror also got smashed during our stay. Make sure you park your car, yourself! I have now got to get a new battery, new light bulbs and side mirror. :-(
The breakfast and location.
There was nothing myself or my father didn't like.
Very clean, comfy room. £3.00 a pint of Carling. Excellent breakfast. Not far from North Pier. Pete and Fiona were excellent hosts. Very informative about Blackpool.
Everyone very friendly & helpful Room very clean & comfortable Good location
Added a credit card to the price quoted on Booking.com. We stayed in two other hotels that weekend, not to mention buying countless other things with a credit card - this is the only place that added a charge and without my consent as well. I really hate that. The room we got was not like the one pictured. That one has been specially done up - ours felt a bit sad and old. Strange to have instant coffee with breakfast.
Nice seaview, owners very pleasant, good location
All good hosts were pleasant i realy got no bad points on this hotel would go back and would recomend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing hotel
Wi-Fi would not reach top floor of hotel so we just paid £2.99 for 3G Lots of stairs, no lift but you are forewarned so you take your choice, of course you could get a lower floor. No draught bitter on the bar bottles only but cider and lager were available on draught. Shower not the most powerful but did the job.
Room, very light and airy albeit five flights of stairs had to be negotiated but were were aware of the fact before we took the room. Breakfast excellent anyone who complains must live with a Michelin 5 star chef. Nice bar area comfy seating. Good location 10/15 stroll to town centre, also tram, bus stops adjacent. Free parking. Pete & Fiona were very friendly also the young lady who served the breakfasts. We were there on valentines weekend and were treated to a glass of champagne or bucks fizz with breakfast nice touch I thought.
Location, cleanliness, breakfast, facilities, ease of booking in, staff, friendliness of owners.
Staff great and breakfast brill
Most unfriendly staff, no warm greeting or any interest in whether our stay was enjoyable. Service at breakfast was slow. Charged a £17 fee for using a debit card!! Would not stay at this hotel again.
uncomfortable bed no other toilet to use if room toilet was out of order. no staff to be seen from 1 breakfast to the next no heating on our visit was november! put on top floor even though asked for lower floor and hotel was empty apart from us the last day and only 2 other couples in the previous day.
Good location for older pepole wanting a quieter place to stay but within walking distance of lights etc.
Bar opening hours are short, but it's a quiet hotel so it's understandable, because I was with my son this didn't bother me but if I was in Blackpool with friends I'd have liked a bar open a bit longer but it's not a big issue
It's a good location, the landlord let us check in early than the 3pm and let us leave our luggage with him on day of check out, my son loved the hotel, all the staff I encountered were friendly, it was a very nice breakfast served in a timely fashion
The shower was tiny
pete and Fiona the owners were extremely friendly and helpful, Roseanne the waitress wow! one of the best, when I return to blackpool I will definitely be booking here.
-damp on wall stain the wallpaper -shower was cold -54 stairs to get to room lol -tv speaker was broken
-couple who owned hotel was lovely -not far from everything we needed -breakfast was amazing -warm and comfy bed -free parking
the views being near town center for shoping it was very good allround will stay again can;t fault it and it was avery nice stay nice food too
The lady that serves the breakfast and does the rooms and the bar is one of a kind. Very helpful, very professional and very helpful. A credit to your business.
almost everything. This establishment should not be classed as a 'hotel'. very misleading if someone is used to a proper hotel. Very shabbily furnished and a real hike to get to rooms in a "hotel" with no lifts and definitely no one to offer assistance. The owner has no real interest in his guests whatsoever and even closes the bar earlier at night if it suits him. The place is covered with notices and 'rules and regulations with appropriate fines if these rules are broken. It felt like an institution rather than a hotel. Breakfast had a half hour timeslot. I have never experienced this EVER. Breakfast, apart from eggs, was very obviously deep fried and atrocious. Even at £50-70 a night it is completely overpriced. It feels like a guest house which has been thrown together with absolutely nothing comfortable about it whatsoever. It has a 'couldn't care less' feel to it and absolutely no attention even to the tiniest of details
Clean bed linen and towels
Very old mattress, top floor no lift. Needs modernising Nlymeek four parking spaces at front.
Breakfast, very good, cooked well nice and hot. Location was good.
insufficient car park...old fashioned...needs updating...room smelt murky...altho clean...not welcoming...pressurised to finish bfast to clean tables...when there had been at least 10/15mins wasted in ordering bfast order...was refused toast when i hadnt even had any..5 halves of toast are not enough for a table of five ppl...very offputting...poor customer service...
location..pool table for older children..bar
A bit outdated, quite small rooms
Location, comfy bed, good breakfast
The room on the front No 4
matress a bit thin for us
sea view breakfast pillows
Room quite small for family. Room was warm & stuffy; made sleeping at night uncomfortable esp if it was a hot muggy day. Should provide a fan to cool room at night.
Location Breakfast choice Car parking facility
Peter & Fiona where very friendly, happy to suggest places to see and eat,the breakfast was more then enough,Fiona offered more toast but there wasn't much room left to put it lol, if we where thinking of going back to Blackpool this B&B would be our first choice
