Everything if you could find anything to complain about then your the type of person never to be happy
We stayed at the hotel on a Sunday the room was lovely.
We had guests banging on our door at midnight repeatedly and the hotel Did nothing to compensate or even apologise the deputy managers service was appalling and didn't even apologise for the terrible night we had no compensation either. disgraceful service
The restaurant & staff were first rate, food excellent, service polite, helpful & extremely knowledgeable
The lack of loungers around the pool. If you have 50 guests, then you should have 50 loungers. Having hotel residents looking for loungers and then being evicted after 30 mkinutes of non occupation (when each treatment is around 20 minutes) is simply unacceptable at this price! In addition, when you put a shirt ibn for laundry, do you really expect a handwritten note telling you of a power failure at the usual dry cleaners? Also, some of the furniture was in poor condition and of poor quality with scratched and marked tables and sofas that had collapsed. Considering that this is being marketed as the premier destination in the North East, this was extremely surprising.
Excellent!...will be staying again.
Hotel was beautiful, perfect location, lovely staff all so friendly and helpful. We ate in The Clubhouse which was really lovely.
Breakfast was a bit of a letdown.
The health spa The quality and size of the room The staff The breakfast The hotel grounds Pretty much everything else
The pillows were too soft.
The spa facilities were fantastic.
The spa was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was very good. had a brilliant reunion thank you very much
Staff were vey friendly and efficient Lovely large well appointed room Excellent spa
Food in restaurant very disappointing. Can believe it has such a high rating if my meal was typical. Much better and much cheaper in clubhouse
Being greeted at the car.
The lovely grounds. Welcoming caring staff. Gorgeous rooms, lovely swimming pool. Dining room and service and fantastic food
Perfect location next to gulf club. Hotel has an ideal spa for guests. Hotel restaurants provide perfect food. Rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds.
In the last night I was staying, the AC was not cooling enough. I did not complain about it to the hotel as I was checking out the next morning.
Loved the location, staff, accommodation, facilities. All the staff were friendly and helpful, couldn't ask for better.
The building, staff and grounds were all very good, the breakfast was good. The room was a good size but not overly well designed.
The wifi was sketchy to say the least.
the staff and hotel were spot on
All round comfort, room, bed, bar, lounges, grounds and food
Fabulous hotel with unbelievable spa facilities. Stayed overnight and worth every penny. A place for a special time
Pool, room, food
From entering the Reception area, to viewing our room, to taking afternoon tea in the Old House Lounge/Bar, to enjoying the Spa, to taking Supper at The Club House, to continental breakfast in our room at 4.30am, and finally to our early morning check out, our experience was entirely without fault. Each member of staff delivered impeccable, and ever smiling, service: A most enviable team complementing the hard work that is clearly carried out by all of those working behind the scenes, from the grounds men, to the kitchen staff, to the chamber maids, and right up to the management. Hats off to them all.
If I looked really closely at every aspect of the hotel..........nothing. There is absolutely noting to dislike.
Decor, staff, setting, rooms excellent. Location is ideal, very quiet but quick to get to countryside, town, airport and Motorway links. Fantastic Spa and leisure facilities.
The only let down was Orangery menu, too fussy and expensive.
Rockliffe hall was amazing. Except for a snooty doorman the staff were fantastic, friendly and professional. From the start to the finish of our stay they were amazing. The spa was out of this world. Breakfast was second to non, apart from not being able to pour your own OJ. The grounds and the hotel are beautiful, and after check out we relaxed in the drawing room for a couple of hours looking out at the golf course.
Overpriced for the suite. Lovely but not worth that sort of money.
This hotel is wonderful, from the phone call 2 days prior to arrival asking "if there was anything they could do for us on arrival" to the complimentary bottled water for our journey upon checkout, Rockliffe Hall has thought of everything to make your experience with them as pleasurable as possible. The staff are attentive to every need you may have, the dining options are varied both in style and cater for every budget and the spa is just out of this world.
There is nothing to dislike
The quality and treatment by staff was second to none, six star.
The check in time is 3pm, if you want to arrive early, say 1 or 2 pm and use the pool etc, they wanted to charge an extra £30 p/p. a little greedy I thought.
spa and leisure areas are fantastic and are worth going just for them. Brassiere Restaurant is less formal but more enjoyable, and good place for drinks
Last visit to Rockcliffe we used the Orangery restaurant for dinner, but didn't feel that the meal mirrored the cost. Bar area's are OK without being special and also quite expensive for cocktails etc
Could have been a king size bed our only complaint
