Excellent facilities, clean and comfortable. Heather and Alwen clearly cater for their guests needs and do all they can to ensure a pleasant stay. The food is excellent and the surrounding scenery and walks are good any time of year.
That I couldn't stay longer.
Good location Excellent breakfast
Room too small. There were no space to leave the luggage Staff not very friendly
Everything but access to the premises. Breakfast was excellent!
The walk up the hill from the main road
Great breakfast and friendly welcome
Not being told when we booked that they also did evening meals – Would have saved us a large bill on some very average food in the town!
Comfy bed and clean... Great breakfast lots of choice. Lovely views.
All was good
Stayed here with my son the night before my wedding. Our twin room was very well appointed, plenty of drink options and lots of milk which is often lacking. The breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. Owners are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend.
Only downside was it was a bit warm in the room as we were at the top of the building and there was no breeze coming in. Definitely not the owners fault!
The breakfast choice, the relaxed atmosphere, the friendly hosts.
Great location. Quiet and well organised.
- location: the town of Lynton - the house - the room - the breakfast
A great welcome. We were met and shown to our room and told the rules!! It felt like being back at school, but I totally understand why it has to be this way, having grown up in a hotel myself, I know that all guests are not equal. Our room had a great view looking out over Lynton and the hills beyond. The bath / shower taps took a bit of working out and the basin tap spat and hissed like a steam train. Breakfast was 100%. Lots of choices. Return? Yeah, sure.
For me the bed was a bit soft and the dust set off my sneezing!:(
The prettiest room I have stayed in! (after staying in more than 50 different places last year). I had the single room located under the roof in the bay window with beautiful view on the hill and the village, the room was very stylish decorated in white and cream colour and everything was perfectly fitting into the room, it was small but really cute! It had all the facilities (hairdryer, tea kettle, alarm clock, phone, TV, excellent tourist info materials which you can borrow, wifi, towels, toiletries, perfectly working shower...). Excellent location close to everything, very quiet, I had a great sleep. And the amazing breakfeast where you can choose the night before what you would like to have and its prepared by the lady who owns the house in the morning. They store your luggage after checkout. This place is an example of how things should work in all guesthouses.
Despite being quite picky and often complaining person I can't really find anything I didnt like, it was perfect.
Very friendly, excellent food; very comfortable
Everything was very good, a room with a view, delicious breakfasts, a bar with quality whisky, welcoming hosts.
comfortable rooms, friendly staff, location, very extensive and tasty breakfast, good parking.
The house sits up on the hill so we got great view across the whole village of Lyton which was amazing. The room was clean and the environment was beautiful. There is also a sixteen-year-old cat who is very friendly and submissive.
Water supply was not very stable but still acceptable. Wifi speed was a bit slow.
Heather's caring, always trying to do the best for her guests!
NOTHING - everything was excellent!
A warm welcome with a comfortable room that was very clean and good value for money.
Very welcoming. Great location, didnt have to use car for the two days we were there. Breakfasts fantastic. Excellent facilities, spotlessly clean
Very friendly,plenty of variety for breakfast,wonderful views,free wifi,very clean,what more can I say.
Nothing to dislike
The best hotel I ever was in. The room was comfortable, the view was splendid! The breakfast was delicious, espacially the mushroom toast and the pancakes. We got good advices from the owner lady to explore the wonders of sorroundings, who was very kind, helpful, and communicative.
The only thing was wrong that I booked 3 nights not 5 :-)
Everything. The bed, the view, the breakfast, the hosts, the hens. Everything.
being able to have a hot bath after hiking, the view from my window and the breakfast (esp. home made bread)
I still prefer a B&B to a Guesthouse - it is just more one in one, not one in many..
Comfort,very clean house,lovely breakfast
Friendly staff Wonderful welcome Great food and accommodation. Very very clean, unbelievable work ethic of the owners. Total dedication to our enjoyment, and comfort. We could not have been more impressed. We totally recommend this hotel to everyone.
