The family-run Rockview Guesthouse is situated in the heart of Paignton, just a 5-minute walk from both the Rail Station and the coast. Free private on-site parking is available for guests. The colourful bedrooms all feature an en suite bathroom and some offer views of Queens Park, which is home to the local Rugby and Cricket teams. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV. Rockview’s dining room is where guests can enjoy the full English breakfast served each morning. It consists of sausage, bacon, hash browns and eggs, cooked to preference. An omelette option is also available. Guests can take a 10-minute stroll along the seafront to Paignton Pier or the picturesque harbour in half the time. Sightings of the rare Cirl Bunting can be seen in the reed beds of Broadsands Beach, just 2 miles south of the hotel. Nigel & Karen were very welcoming and made us a hot drink on arrival. The room was clean and had all the necessary facilities. We were 3 adults and had the family room with 1 double and 1 single bed. The single was a bit uncomfortable as you could feel the mattress springs. Maybe if it was for a child it would be OK.

Staff were very welcoming and catered for all our needs. Our room was very clean and beds were so comfortable. As a single mum with two children I felt safe,welcomed and cared about. We will definately be staying again. I would recommend Rockview to any one. Great value for money, great staff, great location.

I liked the central location. We wanted somewhere central to stay in Paignton and booked this hotel for that reason. I would say that it was very dated and the breakfast was on the cheap side (as in it was tasteless as cheap products were used). If you are young ish or young at heart this isnt the place to stay it was old fashioned and dated. The owners seemed freindly enough but I wouldnt stay there again or recommend this to a friend. It just wasnt our cup of tea!!
