Set above Avon Gorge, this hotel overlooks Brunel's famous suspension bridge. It has free parking and a large terrace for al fresco dining with excellent views.

nice location + statff is nice
u have to pay for the parking lot !!!! and have only5 places! ?!? how's so??
tiny rooms (def. not executive) very noisy at night - wood floors above bedroom.
good breakfast facilities. I had eggs benedict, which one of my favourites and not expected at a hotel in this price bracket
Staff Breakfast Location
Easily accessible by bus Comfortable room Friendly and competent staff
TV did not work, but there was a radio
location - slap bang in Clifton near the Primrose Cafe
The (twin) room was dreadful. Very small, full of damp and adjacent to the gents loos downstairs. The bathroom was unnecessarily massive and dark with a tiny mirror and the shower was so low that even for a women you had to crouch down
It is a great location for visiting clifton village. A bus stop opposite for buses into the city centre. And great cafés and restaurants close by. The suspension and the downs a little walk away. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel comfortable.
I was on the 3rd floor....no lifts....made me realise how unfit I am. However the hotel made sure that my mother had a room on the ground floor. Very limited parking at the hotel but the staff were very helpful in directing me to parking in nearby residential streets and although I was a bit doubtful about this it was perfectly fine.
Mainly friendly and were able to get a good taxi service.Efficient check out.
Lack of parking at and around the hotel The desk staff got our name wrong, and did not have us down for breakfast when we arrived. They did not know where some of the main tourist spots were in Bristol. The breakfast could have been better, not as good as the Premier Inn.
Breakfast not included and room needed painting stayed at cheaper hotels a lot better
I fell there was not a lot of tea milk biscuits just one pack.for two and we stayed to nite not good at all
location was excellent. night porter was very efficient and helped with room move. other staff were very friendly.
room VERY small and wall flaking with what looked like damp. double bed against wall with no access for other person. bed also under open window.
Small but perfectly formed single bedroom with real coffee! Delicious evening meal at No. 4 with good wine list and a really tasty, freshly cooked breakfast in the morning. Convenient parking too. Staff very helpful & pleasant.
Would have liked a little more milk in the room. Also, parking and wifi were an additional charge, which was a pity but then the charges were displayed at reception.
clean comfortable well designed room, very friendly helpful staff, welcoming ambience. Would definitely visit again.
the receptionist (david) remembered that i was visiting someone in hospital and asked when i returned to the hotel if everything went well. very nice personal touch, thank you
Access to the room up a winding staircase was difficult for us as we were o.a.p. booking by internet did not inform us of the problem.
The receptionist was very pleasant.
Six flights of stairs Dreadful room in old servants' quarters with damp in ceiling - supposedly executive double Bathroom not updated for 30 years Fire door locked Implied a public car park nearby but there is no parking
Location Period style Friendly and helpful staff Restaurant food. Complaint resulted in speedy resolution by Jess on reception.
Being double booked! Mini bar broken Out of date drinks in fridge Room cleanliness
Ideal location. Very helpful staff. Excellent selection of drinks in room: real coffee, herbal teas, etc, and fresh fruit.
Very uncomfortable bed, tired decor (filthy carpet). My room was right next to the restaurant toilet and the door banged loudly every time someone went in. Also the hotel boiler sounded like an express train and went on for long intervals until late in the night. No ventilation in bathroom.
location, buildings design, staff overall friendly
Room 5 although a large room is right next to kitchen and staff room. A lot of chatter & noise form 6am onwards. Very limited parking and very expensive for guests £6.50 for overnight!
Great cosmopolitan area surrounded by buzzing cafes and lovely little shops. Staff were really helpful and breakfast was yum. 24hour reception and room service a tremendous plus too.
Couldn't complain about anything.
Bathroom was clean. Ground coffee + cafetiere. Friendly staff.
Room was tiny and hot. Not the most comfortable of beds. Very basic room (called 'executive') for an inflated price and no breakfast included.
Phoned to make a booking; was told it was full. Went on line and immediately got rooms. Later that evening saw an angry client who'd made a booking told that there was no reference to it, and that there were no rooms available. Failed to get a wake up call, although receptionist agreed that it had been booked.
Great restaurant, friendly staff and a great location
Room was tired (watermarks on ceiling, curtains aging). Bathroom clean but not really up to good hotel standard, mixer tap shower without thermostat, leaking enclosure, painted wallpaper: not particulalry luxurious but clean.
Staff polite Food good Bed comfortable
Bit cramped and stuffy, shelf loose with glass coffee pot on so knocked it off - didn't break. fuss over needing non feather pillows, thought it was a strange request and had to get them from another hotel - then left them in a cupboard so we didn't know they were there. Scaffolding alongside window so didn't know if workmen would be in early, could have told us about it. Broken plug for bath so couldn't get the plug out. They seriously needed to de- clutter the rooms - the whole shelving arrangement was clumsy , not space saving and unnecessary.
Good location with first class food served in smart restaurant and good service.
Nightmare for those who have a car to park.
