The parking was a major problem! Also very disappointed that I was asked if I wanted a wake up call for my hospital apt ( purpose of visit) then didn't get it and woke late. Though the staff did at least arrange breakfast for me whilst I rushed around trying to get ready. The room temperature changed throughout the night, one minute it was cold the next it was boiling. Heating seemed to go on and off constantly. The staff who asked if I wanted a wake up call checked me out and neither of them acknowledged the error nor apologised nor even asked how was my stay. That was disappointing ! I have stayed in Clifton hotels on numerous occasions over the last couple of years, mainly the Berkeley, and this was sub standard for them. Worse, even giving feedback like this doesn't ever seem to result in any follow up !

Good parking. Clean, excellent food. Excellent and friendly staff. £6.50 parking was a bit steep given that it was simply an overnight stay. The hotel could not, over the telephone, price match the rate that I achieved on the internet. However, no complaints and I would definitely come again and recommend others.

Great views, but not the Rodney Hotel, see complaints. We did not stay at the rodney hotel. We were 'upgraded' to the Berkeley in Queens Square, which is a part of the same group. The Berkely was rather disappointingly ordinary. We expected something special in a rather nice georgian square, but it was acceptable but not great! Noisy music late one night and a lot of noise in the corridors. Very expensive food. Local Wetherspoons is nearby and is much cheaper. The advertised bowl of fruit did not materialise. they took 40 pounds deposit from our account for the mini bar, without informing us. This was returned the day after we left, but had messed up our banking arrangements and other payments.

Friendly service Excellent breakfast Peaceful Great location. Absolutely appalling beds! Have stayed in two different Executive rooms, both had the cheapest, most uncomfortable beds we have ever experienced. It is a great shame but is really putting us off booking again - you are running a hotel not a student let, upgrade your beds!

It was a beautiful building, very clean and tidy. We had a fantastic night's sleep as it was anice quiet area, whilst still being in easy reach of the town centre. Great!

Ideal location in Clifton; No. 8 bus takes you door-to-door to and from train. Many shops and small cafes nearby, and walk to harbour and museums pleasant. Staff friendly, helpful and character of house not lost by modernisations of plumbing, etc.

The boutique hotel, formerly a large house, is clean, comfortable and situated right in the heart of Clifton, Bristol. It has its own ( limited spaces ) parking which is a bonus. The staff were friendly, although a little rushed, as the hotel was full which I guess is a good sign. Cooked breakfast was v good. Basic room, too hot on arrival, no towels in the room on arrival, but later arrived with apology.

Excellent and very welcoming staff, attractive and relaxed environment with a lovely garden. Room was comfortable and well-furnished. Lack of nearby parking/cost of using hotel spaces - though this is not unusual for Bristol hotels it's still a pain! First double we were allocated was very small but staff dealt with it well and moved us the following day.

Excellent breakfast freshly cooked. Much better than the buffet at the Radisson Blu and Avon Gorge Hotel. Excellent position for all the shops. Bed was really basic and quite uncomfortable which was a shame but won't stop us going back.

I found the Rodney Hotel was happy to accommodate me throughout my stay in all aspects. I was able to receive the same level of service in the small hours of the morning just as much as during the day. I would recommend this hotel for sure!
