Very welcoming. We were on the top floor so had sloping roof in the room and en suite which made it interesting!!! We were warned though and the beam was well padded!! Breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon is not usual British B&B breakfast. Full English breakfast good but let down by cheap sausage, minor niggle only. |

good location for getting to Thruxton race track , pleasant property, and nice breakfast note left in room stating how hard the staff work and to make a donation. I always leave a tip but not when i see a beg-in letter! plus sign in bathroom about being kind to the environment and not changing towels. |

the bathroom had a free standing victorian bath which was lovely. There is a lovely conservatory and garden for guests. Staff very friendly. just off the main route in from London and there is parking. Couldn't get the bedside lights or radio alarm clock to work. |

The friendliness of the staff and the quality of food at breakfast. The quality of the coffee at breakfast did not reflect the overall quality of the food. Also it was barely warm. This was a shame. |

This is the first time that I've been to a guest house for years despite being a frequent business traveller, as my memory of these has always been the candlewick bedspread scenario! I stayed in Room 8 which was a large double room overlooking the garden. It had all of the necessary amenities and plenty of tea and coffee which is a frequent bug bear for me! The bathroom was also large and featured a roll top bath with a powerful overhead shower. Breakfast was a treat. Great to have a full english freshly cooked! I'd definitely stay here again when I next visit Salisbury. Off road parking spaces are limited but there's plenty of free on road parking available |

We were provided with a large and very comfortable and well-appointed room. The guest house is conveniently located just off the Salisbury Ring Road and within 15 minutes walk of the medieval town. The atmosphere was not particularly welcoming. We were told, and the in-house brochures emphasize the point, that Rokeby does not take credit cards. After obtaining cash, and the ATM fee involved, we checked our confirmation and noticed that they did accept credit cards. When we raised this point the staff conceded that they did accept credit cards for bookings made through Booking.com. It was apparently our fault that we had not announced this. Guests are reminded how fortunate they are to be in a guest house where some "free" parking is available! The only guest house where we have been given an envelope to express our appreciation for the staff! We note that the owners were away on vacation. |

Easy to find, very comfortable, loved the decor and high standard of room, quiet location Thought the price was a bit too high, although a high standard it was still a Guest House not a hotel |
