Lack of evening catering at wk'ends
Friendly atmosphere, rooms great for the price, so best value for Birmingham. the meals were excelent, great taste, enough to eat, dining room clean, in fact everywhere looked clean, even has matress protectors. the staff were very helpful, and the hotel was well located for our family, and the German Market.
Can not think of a thing......
Price. Friendly people. Great service
Not the most swish of places
Location, breakfast, clean
Clearly not enough staff to manage the busy weekend they had or enough breakfast supplies! We were lucky and got the last English brekkie!
Everything was perfect great value for money
Staff were fine, especially the receptionist when I first arrived. The poor breakfast staff were so rushed off their feet, they weren't very attentive - but it's because they had so many guests to cater for, and not many staff members. they were never impolite.
When I went to use to bathroom (the rooms on my floor were not ensuite) there was a shocking lack of hygiene and dirty towels lay on the floor. The toilet hadn't been flushed (though that isn't the management's fault). The scariest thing was that I accidentally went to the wrong room when I came out of the bathroom - instead of opening the door to my room, I had a mind blank and went to the door just before mine. As I realised it wasn't my room (none of my things were there), it also dawned on me that the KEYS for MY ROOM had easily opened the door to a completely different room!!! Which meant anyone could probably do the same with their own keys, with any other door. Thankfully the room I accidentally went to was vacant, no guests staying there. But I felt uncomfortable all night, knowing there was no safety on the lock of my door. Breakfast was good I must say - but dirty, badly washed cutlery was really off putting. I had to get a glass of hot water to wash the cutlery myself at my table. I understand it was a very cheap rate, so I don't think it's fair to expect too much. But basic cleanliness and safety on door locks, I do expect.
The price. Very reasonable, and excellent value for money. Great staff, who together with some regulars made me enjoy myself in the hotel bar, Breakfast also good.
Everything, the room was dirty and shabby. The tread on the stairs leading to the room were too small to step correctly on. The staff couldn't be bothered. Room was not cleaned daily. Bed too short in length and uncomfortable. Bedding very poor
EXCELLENT AND PLEASANT CUSTOMER SERVICE, COMFORTABLE ROOMS, GOOD LOCATIONS. I REALLY ENJOYED MY STAY AT THE HOTEL. GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY
THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT WAKING UP LATE THE HOT WATER WAS ALREADY USED UP AND COULD NOT TAKE MY BATH AND HAD TO RUSH OUT
Meal in resturant was very good
Very little hot water Showers not good enough
Staff where great
Noise in the middle of the night
MOST THINGS I HAVE STAYED THERE SEVERAL TIMES
the hotel had a homely feel and the staff were friendly and lively, it was easy to find from the bus stop and was clean and tidy. i felt welcome and had a good night sleep.
there was no soap in the toilets and the stairs to the second floor were rather steep, food wasn't available but the staff gave us take away menus, phone signal wasn't good.
WiFi Food(Breakfast included) Friendly Staff Room accessories (TV,Radio,Hairdryer)
Noisy guests in adjoining room at 2:30 am waking me.
The friendly and helpful staff Nice hot fresh cooked breakfast handy for city centre £10 for taxi one way
the snoorer in the room next door but thats not the hotels fault
Room was not cleaned at 21.30 when I arrived
Breakfast was excellent and bed comfy
Creaking floors ,banging doors, noise all night long from other guests coming in from clubbing (drunk ),sink and shower and pillow case were dirty upon arrival.
the breakfast & hospitality & friendliness of the staff there was excellent.
nothing in particular.
Very good location and reasonable price
Some of the facilities need updating
This place is a workers lodge its old and very dirty and if you reserve a room you have to pay because to reserve you have to give bank details so they've got you ang your held to ransom by this smug mugger they call a receptionist !!! So not go there
Bed was comfy, wifi was excellent. TV with freeview was good.
Only one member of staff working on both the bar and reception at the same time.
Staff is wonderful, Breakfast incredible, 10 minutes by bus from city center
Furnitures too old
Pleasant staff and fair amount of facilities. Value for monry
Room was a bit small...could do with a new kettle and a trouser press...
Convenient location for town centre and airport. The women on reception/bar are really friendly and fab. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Useful sink in the room. Excellent wifi throughout the hotel. Tea & coffee facilities in the room were replenished daily.
Shared shower/toilet facilities (though these were kept clean). Though I didn't hear noise from other rooms, you can hear a lot of noise if other guests are moving/talking in the corridors. Breakfast service finishes a bit too early.
Nothing apart from wi fi worked fine and T V was adequate
Room smelt corridors were noisey shower was tony breakfast wasnt served til 8 which meant i couldnt have any wouldnt stay here again
