Owner allowed us to park there when we arrived at 9.30 am before checking in and till 4 pm the next day after checking out .
Booked this because it was cheap and with four kids between us wanted to save where we could. Plus it had a pool table to keep kids occupied while the adults had a few drinks in the bar - none of which were opened ! Not enough sockets , radiators didn't work , shower was temperamental , bedding was mismatched, pillows were the thinnest I have ever seen and curtains struggled to cover width of the window ! Next time I think we will go for the second less expensive which looked like a palace compared to this !
The guy who runs it is very friendly however on his own doing everything so cleanliness suffers! Very very small rooms freezing and cold showers! Do NOT have room 11 the view is of a pile of rubbish an skip an the back of someone's house with filthy dirty yellow walls and curtains Breakfast was actually quite nice but Defo not worth the money when u can stay at travelodge for cheaper 2 mins away
Freezing showers Dirty cups/glasses in room Some lights didn't work Small rooms Damp bedding
Run down and a massive dive of a place
the location is all
Liked the location that is aĺl
Filthy room, 1 socket for the whole room, window nailed shut, woken in early hours by other guests fighting management not interested TV hanging off the wall
The only positive was the location
Rooms were cold and damp and smelt dusty. Staff (when they could be found as most of the time they couldn't and the place was left in darkness) were very friendly or helpful and didn't make you feel welcome. Breakfast was cheap frozen food. Def wouldn't go back
Everything - booked breakfast then cancelled after we saw how bad the room was, should of read the reviews before booking
The owner is amazing. Helped to get us parked. Was very friendly and welcoming and entertained us during our stay.
Could do with a fresher look and a lick of paint.
Friendly polite owner, cheap for hotel.
Cold room radiator wasn't working, old hard to shut windows, bed sheets looked very old not to white.
Everything it smelt and was dirty this was very poor for the money! !!
The location for the pleasure beach and the couple that where looking at taking over.
Room and bathroom filthy. Food poor, value for money terrible.
location was ideal,as we went to see lights .tramstop straight across from hotel
wallpaper was ripped and left downside of bed.one window didn't have curtains so had to pile our coats and towels up to shut out daylight ,kettle was dirty n only teamaking facilities was 3 separate teabags n sugar.,showercubicle god knows when lastime cleaned,oh and window which did have curtain didn't shut, not a clean room at all, thankgod we only stayed one night .,breakfast was ok even though had to wait a while for service .,wont go here again
Staff were lovely room was great will definitely go back again
No wife in room
The Roker was past the Pleasure Beach so a bit out of the way of the arcades and main lights, but it was cheap, so I wasn't expecting central location! The staff were lovely! The room itself was nice. It wasn't poor, but wasn't great. I didn't have high hopes anyway, but it's ok if you're just looking for somewhere to sleep and wash! Shower water wasn't hot enough, but left the sink tap running and it was better! Great views, quiet location, free upgrade, quiet hotel, cheap, friendly- I'd stay there again.
Drawers were a bit broken, the bedding was mismatched, the sides were a bit dusty. But nothing drastic!! Nothing that couldn't be overlooked for the price.
Location, right next to the pleasure beach.
The room, tiny, dirty, uncomfortable, unmade bed, we had to ask for bedding and make the bed ourselves! Shower hanging off the wall, cold water and no cleaner or towel change. Rooms are cheap, yes, but really not worth it, I would pay a little more and stay somewhere else!
nice staff, perfect location
durty, over used accomodation
bathroom from above leaked into ours
the location. the news it was been taken over by new people after the weekend we was there.pity it was not the weekend before.not much going for it to write about that was good
took 25 minutes to get a answer at the door to let us in only to be given a room looking at a flat roof and into another hotel then charged extra £7 to swop to a twin room.no towels or anything in room beds not very comfy, breakfast nothing to write home about. pleased we was only there the 1 night.the shower took 10 minutes to get hot water through and that was late at night so not much chance any one else was using hot water.all in all i would not recommend this place but like i have stated it is changing ownership so things can only get better, i can only comment on the time before it changed
Quiet hotel, owner will open the bar on request. Cheap room through booking.com
Room was to small for a family room
We booked a family room for 2 adults and a child. The room was tiny with a single bed squeezed in couldn't even get into the bathroom properly. To fit the single bed in the cabinet with kettle on was put in the bathroom!!! So couldn't even make a brew. Bed light didn't work and one window had no curtains. Would not recommend this place!
Location is perfect for the pleasure beach
We arrived at hotel and the bar was shut, it looked dark and abandoned. The room was so small we could not move in there, we had to move the wardrobe to fit the travel cot we had to pay £10 to hire, it was dirty. The baby ended up sleeping in our bed. Location was perfect for the fair. The breakfast was served with a hair in it. We was greeted by a nice gentlemen when we was leaving who stated they was taking over from Monday as the previous owners have abandoned and let it go. I wish him luck.
no towels, no milk, breakfast bad, sleep none, bathroom no light.
It's was near pleasure beach
Restaurant not open 24 bar NEVER open Leisure area NOT open Room smelt fusty in need of good clean and decorating Towels smelt (glad I brought my own) Bathroom didn't have a ceiling just a curtain draped over a bit of wood with exposed wires above the shower. (Surely this is a MAJOR health and safety issue)
Breakfast! Size of room
Everything was odd, didnt match. Random furniture, books and pictures in the room nothing went together. The window didnt close properly, nor did the blind and there was no toilet roll in the room.
the breakfast was very good
bathrooms not very clean and only one towel provided
