We loved the friendly and enthusiastic welcome by Bruce and thoroughly enjoyed our leisurely 'full English' + Alaskan waffles Room was a bit cramped but this was not a problem and was reflected in the price. I understand en suites in every room are planned. |

The owner was very hospitable and welcoming. Rooms were good and cooked breakfast was great (plus the Alskan waffles of course!). B&B is within easy walking distance of York centre. We would stop here again. |

We liked everything, Bruce was terrific mein host Basil Fawlty in reverse. As soon as we arrived Bruce had us a map of York and drew in all the places we were interested in. the whole house was spotless clean and very comfortable.Nothing was too much trouble for Bruce he even brought to me a mug of tea when i went out for a smoke.Breakfast was awesome & as it was my birthday I was presented with a box of truffles chocs (very nice) Thinking of booking just go it's great. |

Good location to the city sightseeing, very hospitable host of the Romley guest house, Bruce. You feel yourself not like a guest, but like an old friend here. |

A strongly recommended guest house. I definitely had some "grand days in paradise" there!!! I guess you won't get those special Alaskan "breakfast treats" anywhere else! :-) |

The proprietor was very helpful and friendly, the cost suited us, and was very good value. Everything was clean and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. Good position for York. |

It's location was convenient for the city and the Staff were excepionally friendly. The breakfast offered was second to none. En suite bathroom would have been nice but it did not cause any problems |

Bruce was very helpful with his advice and aid. His breakfast was wonderful, especially the Alaskan waffle. He cheerfully provided a to-go breakfast when we had an early departure our second morning. |

The manager is a delightfull Alaskan! Quiet street 10 min walk from the city centre. The TV was not tuned in. A bit annoying when one wants to catch up on the news or the weather forcast. |
