Bruce was very helpful with his advice and aid. His breakfast was wonderful, especially the Alaskan waffle. He cheerfully provided a to-go breakfast when we had an early departure our second morning. |

The manager is a delightfull Alaskan! Quiet street 10 min walk from the city centre. The TV was not tuned in. A bit annoying when one wants to catch up on the news or the weather forcast. |

You could not have been made more welcome if they tried it was excellent in all categories especially the Big Breakfast and the Friendliness and the help in any way that was required. I would say it was first class in my books any time and i will be back again some time later in the future. Not a thing It was perfect in all ways. |

The most striking feature about Romley House is the welcome. Bruce, the proprietor, shook my hand warmly on arrival, as if I were a long lost friend. Breakfast time was simply fun, more than just the traditional Full English, almost a social occasion! Bruce does awesome waffles - a nice extra touch :-) Well done, Bruce - keep up the good work. I rated the "value for money" above as "fair", as the cost was towards the top end of what I would pay for the type of room (ie non en suite). However, the location and convenience for York City Centre and railway station compensated for this, as did the wonderful welcome. |

The host was knownledgeable about the area. The price was a little high considering there was no en-suite or internet available. |

The owner Bruce was very friendly and nice. The breakfast was good. Good parking facilities. Not far from the town centre. The bed was comfortable. The bedside clock radio did not work- informed Bruce but still did not work. No space as we had a family room and there were bunk beds only a foot away from our bed. |
