We liked the spa it was fantastic. The staff at the spa werent too helpfull but luckily i have been before so i knew my way around but there was no one showing us where to go or even hand out slippers and a dressing gown which you would expect from a spa. However the hotel staff at the reception couldnt do enough for us they where really nice and booked reservations for us to have our evening meal in Nantwich. Overall the stay was really good. The woman at the spa was a bit of a let down but we had a fantastic time. The woman at the spa reception wasnt very helpfull at all. She didnt show us around the spa. Luckily I have been before so i knew my way around but she didnt offer us slippers or even a dressing gown. I think she must have been new as she didnt seem to have a clue. She also told us to come back at 2pm for treatments when we went back she forgot us and she actually said she had forgotten us! She just was very unproffesional. The spa itself made up for it though. We just loved the spa and the treatments.

The Rookery Breakfast!! Was great.... We were at the Driver and Lowe wedding and told the hotel this. I also got my friend who's wedding it was to check with the hotel if I was booked into the hotel and she said yes. We were also told that the room would be discounted due to the driver/lowe wedding. We were not discounted and charged 195 uk sterling. We booked this room end of last year. Very un happy we were charged this room rate as told by Amy Lowe (then Amy Driver) that when booking this room were were to mention the driver and lowe wedding at time of booking to get discount and we clearly mentioned this in our booking reservation but still charged 195 uk sterling. Please investigate this???????

Combination of location, traditional main rooms with modern bedroom. Spa a great bonus. We stayed en route to somewhere else but would go here as a destination in its own right for a relaxing weekend. Drinks service in evening a bit slow, lots of staff around but we ended up going to bar ourselves

Delightful staff, beautiful nineteenth-century building (but I would not under any circumstances have wanted to stay in the more modern wings). Excellent spa facilities. Very good food. The charming classical guitarist at supper was a lovely touch. Room was extremely comfortale and well appointed (although I found the black mould around the perimeter of the bath, and the cracked plaster around the ceiling light slightly disconcertin). All in all charming, and, despite being relatively expensive, well worth the money. I cannot believe anyone serves anything in red glasses! This is naff beyond belief. The waitress kindly indulged me and promptly replaced my absurd water glass. I have to say that the shape of the wine glass also reduced me to giggles. Both reflected an attempt at sophistication that made me think of aspirational Essex boys in the early 1980s.

The setting, and overall layout and feel of the place was very relaxing, and staff were very helpful The prices for wine and some of the lounge bar meals were over priced in my opinion, although were very nice

The staff were excellent and the room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. Also in a good loaction, close to Natwich and Chester. The meals served in the dining room were billed as "fine dining", but the quality of the food was only average, especially at the very high prices charged. We also deliberately asked about dress code in the dining room and were told no jeans, T-Shirts or trainers, so we dressed appropriately - only to find other diners dressed in jeans, T-Shirts and trainers. I have no problem with not having a dress code but, if there is one, the staff should insist it's adhered to.

My husband and I enjoyed our brief stay at Rookery Hall immensly. The staff on arrival were very friendly and efficient and made us feel most welcome. We were upgraded on our arrival and the room we stayed in was clean, good temperature, and the bathroom facilities excellent. We had breakfast in bed the next day and again it was all very efficient, arrived on time and was very enjoyable and good value as it was included in the price. I would definitely recommend to others, although a car is needed to travel into Nantwich.

Staff were lovely. Breakfast was superb. Executive room was nice. Executive rooms are in a new annex which resulted in a loss of the charm of the old house.

We stayed at Rookery Hall for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. It was absolutely beautiful. The location, the food, the staff, the room - everything. We couldn't fault a thing. The spa was lovely-very relaxing and the breakfast was brilliant. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

In fact I booked on behalf of a colleague, travelling from Paris. I wanted him to experience a very Englsh setting with first class service, comfort and food. I think he found his room a little "old fashioned" but he said it was very clean and the breakfast was excellent and hotel very comfortable. I was very pleased that Booking.com noted that I was booking on his behalf so the reservation was in his name not mine. Very efficient.

My wife and I try to stay at Rookery Hall whenever we can afford. We usually come over from N. Wales and arrive about midday, then go for a walk around Nantwich before having a couple of hours at your Spa. Then we go for a meal and a drink into Nantwich again in the evening. After breakfast in the morning we have an hour or so in the Spa before having a walk around the magnificent grounds. Then the worst part...coming home!! To us this is just a truly magical 24 hours which we look forward to so much, it seems hard to believe that on Monday morning we are both back in work. Until next time the funds allow, thank you!!! Coming home!!!!

The staff were fantastic, very professional and friendly. The only complaint I have is that the corridors smelt very musty and damp which was a bot off putting. I also think the rooms need a bit of updating dcor wise.

We absolutely loved our room (called June), the staff (especially the great welcome from Brian), the swimming pool. The location is not great for us - we live in Cambridge, and on this occasion just happened to be passing by.

The room was very nice, and the location was perfect for a quite get away. The room did however become extremely hot during the night, therefore the air conditioning was required - which was unfortunately very noisy! The bar and food prices were high, and the staff, although all very polite, did forget you on numerous occassions during meal times. Finally, both our parties had to question the final bill, which did show discrepancies where we were overcharged.
