Good location for the Telford International Centre Close to shops & facilities Easy parking Great alternative to a hotel
WiFi didn't work which was irritating Floor in lounge/bed area was very cold. Kitchen fittings were a bit cheap & nasty. Desk was a bit small & chair cheap. Limited power points (e.g. nothing near desk). Very hard to find
Claremont Mews is a basic apartment in the village of Wellington, 20 minutes from Telford, Shrewsbury and Ironbridge. It has a living room with comfortable double bed and fold out bed/settee. There's a wall mounted freeview tv with DVD player and free Virgin wifi. The kitchen has just about everything you need and a bathroom with shower. Great as a base to explore with pubs, takeaways and supermarkets nearby.
The apartment did need a little bit of tlc. Curtain poles were loose and the shower could do with a makeover !!
It was in a good area.
Very dirty throughout Cups hadn't been washed properly No bulb in lamp Damaged furniture Bottle of hand soap was empty Extractor fan did not work
Central location with plenty of parking. It was close to the railway and grocery store and park.
Didn't like the shower and the sporadic wifi.
Location Ease of Check in/Out
Old biscuits on the floor Wifi didn't work Tea/Coffee facilities need replenishing - had to buy own.
Good low cost accommodation. Convenient Store next door Good parking facilities Very quiet location Had a washing machine. Pots, pans, plates Cutlery, fridge and microwave all provided.
The place was a bit cold even in May. Couldn't operate the heating. The place was quite dirty behind the couch. The complementary sugar was dried up in the sachets. The Apartment had a slight odur.
WIFI worked fine. Shower good. Plenty of parking. Bed comfortable. Towels provided. Coffee, tea and milk provided. Door key box worked fine, no problems although had to ring for number prior to the day of our visit. Number was eventually given in email on morning of arrival which might be too late for some.
Smokey smell on entering. Bed linen wasnt 100% clean!! Marks on duvet cover.
Wifi worked fine, key safe no problem.
The apartment was tiny, grubby and very dated. I am a get on with it sort of guy yet found it dirty under beds and under sofa bed. The tiles in the bathroom look to be over 20 years old and where some have fallen off have been replaced with white tiles that don't match the others. The bathroom is desperate for a refurb. I would not recomend staying here. The police came to the door twice asking me if I knew who had been causing trouble (one of the full time residents had been fighting before our arrival) the policeman warned me to keep an eye on my car and any possessions due to a number of thefts recently. Scary.
We saw it as the equivalent of a Travelodge but with it's own kitchen. It was warm. It had easy parking and is right next to a Costco mini-supermarket.
Kitchen was dirty and so was cutlery and plates. Wifi didn't work for two days, it 'suddenly' came on after several phone calls, I suspect the account had lapsed rather than a fault.
There were issues with the neighbours which were not directed at myself or the property and is no fault of the owners but they agreed to move me elswhere for the remainder of the booking and have been nothing but helpful.
The bed was very and I had a good nights sleep comfortable. It had good facilities.
The front door needs a new lock. I had difficulty turning the key to lock and unlock
Very disappointing. Extremely hard to get in using front door key. Cleaning very superficial. Whole place needs a thorough clean, maintenance and upgrade. Kitchen equipment inadequate e.g. no colander, peeler, tin opener etc etc. Would not recommend.
It was close to town and public transport
Liked that we had a lot of facilities such as washing machine/dryer, cooker etc. All cooking utensils and equip were provided. There was no freezer though not that we were bothered by that. Bed was comfy. Plenty of bedding :)
There is no full length mirror! Yikes! The pictures are deceiving, smaller than we thought, but still comfortable.
Just like being at home with my own front door.
A bit difficult to find as my gps didn't recognize Claremont Mews. Once found there was no further problem.
Allowed dog. Early check in.
The accomodation had been cleaned but the shower was grimy with soap and there was hairs from someone who had shaved at the sink! No instructions on where to empty bins? Ie were wheelie bin is so left rubbish in the flat. Was also a group of young men hanging around the courtyard behind flat Fri night (As there other flats / small houses behind which you cannot se ein the booking.com pictures) which was intimidating for my wife.
we had problem with key this was remedied quickly when I phoned the emergency no. Convenient for town - large car park although allocated space was occupied
Excellent 'vfm', the apartment was very clean & tidy with a much needed washing machine/tumble dryer. Very comfortable bed and great t.v reception too, nice and quietly located with a mini supermarket next door. 100% will stay again without doubt :o)
The 'only minor niggle' was the fridge didn't have a freezer section...sorry :o(
The apartment was very convenient for the area I needed.
not registered on the sat nav nightmare to find on arrival wrong keycode had been given place had not been cleaned good job as we would have been locked out, only took cleaners 20mins to clean??? the fridge door had mould on it the shower left a lot to be desired if ur rather large u have no chance, no dress mirror anywhere, musty smell, the bed was so uncomfortable, shared the appt with my daughter we both ended up with constant back ache, have stayed in cheaper b&b`s and much cleaner. would not recommend u to anyone
It was very comfortable and the facilities were excellent. Very quiet location for a town setting. Handy shop next door. Easy access to Telford and surrounding places.
It's just one room with a kitchen off one side and a bathroom next to it. Very well appointed - even had an iron in the cupboard, and a new TV with DVD player, although we couldn't find a remote control anywhere.
I do wish hotels etc wouldn't use those horrid, rigid pillows! I had to make my own up out of clothes stuffed into the pillowcase.
