the rooms were ensuite and breakfast was excellent ,good location to visit Pittencrief park, the abbey, St Margarets cave and local bus station brilliant to travel further afield ie Edinburgh, Stirling ,Glasgow
sadly only had clean towels two days out of the seven, did not like to make a fuss as we loved the hotel and the staff all very friendly.
Rooms were sizeable and comfortable
My room was not cleaned on two occasions.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the cleanliness of the rooms and the accompanying diner. The food and service in the restaurant were top notch. We made a point to compliment the cooks as our meal was so wonderful!
The only two things that were displeasing were the nightclub traffic right outside of the disabled bedroom in which my elderly mother stayed and the lack of parking immediately accessible to the building front for disabled persons.
the hotel and staff are very good.
the menu was very limited if you stay more than two days,no special meals.
Clean Tidy Friendly Staff
Presentable but not a boutique hotel
Location was good, although hotel parking very limited. Right next to a public car park with metered charges from 8am. Aircon in room.
Extractor fan right outside my window, so had to remain closed. Lots of evidence of people smoking out of the window - dozens of cigarette butts. Breakfast was goo, but had to listen to two staff having a lengthy moan!
The room was large and modern with all the little extras. Excellent breakfast cooked to order. Good location right in the city centre. Nice Italian eatery part of the complex.
A little bit noisy 1-2am from nightclub next door but depends on how light a sleeper you are.
Inclusive breakfast at cheap rate.
Noise from the kitchen extractors nr outside of our room. Not easy to find by car due to one way system on Bruce st
Much better pricing than in Glasgow and only 40 minutes away. Breakfasts were great.
Staff were very friendly and helpful
had a bit of an issue with towels initially, but it was resolved. Noisy on the Saturday night inside the hotel with doors banging and children screaming very late at night
location, eating facilities and value for money
Room had view of a wall (about 3 feet away) and there was air conditioning or piping system right outside of the window which was so loud we had to shut the window (which not great given the heat). The air conditioning unit in the room made strange noises too so we had to turn that off!! Didnt sleep well because of this and then not helped with racket from next room (very loud tv!!)
Friendly, helpful staff from reception to Alberto's; Comfortable, clean rooms; Good location and plenty of parking nearby
The neighbouring nightlclub is open Friday/Saturday and is very noisy from 11pm til 3am; Residents returning from the club make lots of noise;
The room was a good size with an excellent bath and facilities. The breakfast here was very good for the price you pay.
On arrival we found an extremely dirty mug that had previous coffee in it. The chair in our room was unsteady as one of the legs was loose. We had also booked a king room and on arrival found two single beds that had been pushed together leaving the middle slightly uncomfortable.
Breakfast. And gull chicks on roof next to room.
Far too hot. No Wifi in room (which was supposed to be available and free).
Mostly everything about the hotel is lovely! You are greeted with a great smell as you climb the stairs towards your room. Once you get into your room it is a lovely place to be! Everything is clean, bed is comfy, nice decor, lovely bathroom. The restaurant is very good (even though we only used it for breakfast in the morning). It is a nice set up with great decor, great choice and an open kitchen so you can have a nosey at your food getting prepared. The staff are fantastic and very accommodating. Cannot fault them at all.
I really had to think to find some negatives about it, and could only find small things. When you enter the hotel you have to enter from a door at the side which I thought was a bit odd. Not a problem though as it wasn't like it was down a wee dark alley way or anything. The lack of free parking for the hotel could be a bit of an issue for people staying for long trips (there are only 3 small spots round the back). Overnight is free though. The TV was a bit on the small side. And the last thing is probably the biggest thing was that the taps didn't really give out cold water. It was either hot or hot... The night porter was more than happy to run up with some ice chilled water for us though so more than happy!
bed was very uncomfortable and it was quite noisy
Over priced, very poor breakfast. Small portion and no proper coffee. Service poor
Steps to the car park and only continental breakfast on Mondays
very helpful staff, clean and tidy room, restaurant good fare.overall excellent.very close to town centre
didn't get the 20% discount on food for residents as advertised.Seagulls on roof and external air conditioning unit noisy in one room
I enjoyed this hotel, i was staying with my 8yr old daughter. And found it in a great location for going aroundthe center, and we also found a park nearby.
Nice friendly and efficient staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice Italian restaurant.
Noisy seagulls due to raiding waste bins at the back of the building.
The proximity to the centre of town
The standard of cleanliness of the room and public areas was very poor.
It was mostly all ok.
Apart from the noise from the external heating system which was right outside our room (107) window. So a lack of sleep is guaranteed.
