Friendly staff/Bar staff ;) location, lovely atmosphere, lively at night
Too thick duvet for this time of year could have done with a lower tog
Location and friendly staff
Room was at the front and it was noisy late at night with revellers and early in the morning with coaches parked outside
Friendly staff, excellent breakfasts. Spacious double room with excellent facilities.
Only a window in the ceiling in my room.
A clean, pleasant comfortable hotel. We would definitely book again in the future.
The staff were excellent, friendly & helpful.
The bedroom was very poor. A permanent Fire Escape light on directly over the bed and when the window was open the noise from the street was horrific. Had to open the window due to the heat & humidity.
There was nothing to dislike
The hotel is very centrally located. The stuff was friendly, supportive and very flexible to solve issues. The rooms looked and felt recently renovated and the bathroom was of very good quality. Looking backwards I think the breakfast was the best we had during our whole tour trough Wales. A compliment to the chef.
We were told that there was a booking error and despite our booking for two rooms only one room was reserved. The problem however got fixed verry well by the staff and e finally enjoyed the two rooms I had booked.
VERY NOISY ALL NIGHT ON TOP OF A PUBLIC HOUSE IN THE CENTRE OF TOWN. WE STAYED FRIDAY NIGHT. WE HARDLY GOT A WINK OF SLEEP AND HAD TO BE UP VERY EARLY.
Hotel very well staffed and attentive, Initial room had noise from an extractor fan so we were quickly transferred to another one. Breakfasts excellent, Shower excellent - plenty of hot water and easy to use.
Transfer option meant we were on the front. In the evening we were disturbed by local revellers who (enjoying the hot weather) were making a lot of noise until well after 2.0pm. I don't imagine that is normal, but the large delivery vehicles, buses and other traffic noises that woke us up at 6.30am is probably normal. Damned if we stayed damned if we moved!
We stayed there overnight. The room was nice and clean. Staff were friendly. The room was well equipped despite the remote control was broken and light bulb was gone. Initially we thought it was a hotel but actually it were just B&B on a top of a pub.
It can be a bit noisy if you prefer to sleep early because of the noise from the pub downstairs and other neighbouring pubs. It is situated on a local high street, but given the this is a small town the noise really is tolerable.
staff and food,excellent.
disco playing until 2 am in the morning.with thump, thump, thump coming up through the floor.
We liked the fact the hotel was central to everything in Carmarthen, and not too far to walk in any direction. Lovely food, very clean room and facilities. Will return.
The only down side is that there is a taxi rank right outside the Hotel, and all the youngsters seem to congregate there waiting for taxis, also I think all the youngsters live up the road from the Hotel as they all walk past at all times of night. Didn't put us off though.
very helpful staff
The manager was very helpful when the wifi was not working well at night time, checking train times for us and even ringing a friend to find out. Wifi worked perfectly well the next day. Nice friendly bar and restaurant with good food and drink. We would stay here again.
breakfast is amazing. central location, staff so friendly.
no car parking onsite
Nice bright modern clean rooms
The rooms were nice and the staff helpful. breakfast was nice, great sausages.
Constant noise throughout the night, also our room was by the smoking deck so the room smelt of cigarettes. Not to mention the whirring of the air con unit outside the window all night. Kitchen ran out of tomatoes for breakfast, which let it down slightly. Bit confusing since right in middle of town and I'm sure this key ingredient wouldn't be too difficult to get..... Next door for instance.
Staff were incredibly helpful. Good atmoshere
Friendly helpful staff, clean modern room with all modcons, good breakfast.
Aside from lack of parking, nothing.
The customer service was great. We had a small issue in our restroom. Reported it and went to dinner. When we got back to our room that evening the issue had been fixed.
Very Good Hotel/Restarant Pub. Very Satisfied. (The Food was Good. Nice Breakfast too!). Helpful Staff. The Room was Very nice.
Everything it was a lovly place an will go back again.
Good location pleasant staff lively pub fair prices
Was given a single room on the top floor very cramped indeed bed just about fitted in proverbial could not swing a cat or mouse for that matter room was next to the roof level which housed aircon units so noisy a constant loud hum which filled the room even with the windows closed impossible to sleep all in all an extremely unpleasant room to stay in
Friendly staff Exellent breakfast Good night out on a saturday
No windows in the room. Double room but was just two single beds pushed together. Small tele. Long wait for a poor breakfast.
