Lovely pub, staff were exceptionally friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My room was very large and I had everything I needed for a comfortable stop over.
I would prefer to have a glass panel instead of a shower curtain.
very friendly. nice area. Close to tunnel.
We arrived late at night and the hosts left some refreshments in the room for us which was a nice gesture. Clean and comfortable. Service during breakfast was great, close to Folkstone/Euro Tunnel.
This place is wonderful, amazing. But for booking.com I would never have found it. A great welcome from an excellent host - spacious well equipped bedrooms and bathrooms, public rooms full of character, a good menu and wine list at sensible prices. Excellent cuisine and friendly totally professional staff. An excellent English Breakfast This place abounds with hospitality and value almost extinct in Britain today. For a holiday in East Kent or an en route stop en route to France, you will not do better.
Nothing. The Rose & Crown is impossible to fault.
So relaxed, lovely atmosphere, great hosts, Always stay on our way to the channel tunnel.
Size of rooms Cleanliness Ambiance Parking Breakfast
Wifi was non-existent in rooms and seeing that phone coverage is also bad in Elham, this is a problem.
After a horrible journey on the M25 and M20, this was a little oasis of a warm welcome, good tasty food and a spacious room for the night.
Nothing at all
Nice stop-over for the Tunnel. They next time I would arrive a day early and visit Canterbury. Good food and Beer.
pub character, good food, lovely village, handy for tunnel
a bit concerned re security being on ground floor, but probably OK.
Excellent bedrooms good pub food and beers
Very friendly and helpful host. Fantastic food.
No reception for Vodafone but I was given access to pub landline so we got round it.
The bar area was built in the1500s and was amazing, the food was very good and room whilst old was clean and large.
The breakfast staff was late opening the doors by over 1/2 hour.
The rooms were an excellent size. I believe that the hotel offers an excellent value for money room in a reasonable location. The food served in the restaurant was excellent and fairly priced. Staff were polite and helpful. Happy to recommend this hotel for others.
We wanted to be near the channel tunnel in a place with charm and not a modern hotel, this was ideal, breakfast was exceptional considering the inclusive price of the room & breakfast, we will return!!
Lovely character inn great room. Spacious comfortable with all amenities. Would loved to have stayed longer. Convenient base to Canterbury
Everything, and an outstanding cooked breakfast
The accommodation was spacious and clean with plenty of drinks provided and toiletries (in case you forget any). The food is excellent, with a lot of it locally sourced. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The Channel Tunnel is only 10 mins away on a very direct route. Couldn't be better.
Left early for the tunnel so missed the cooked breakfast, however, the breakfast tray we had was excellent. The location is great, quiet, picturesque with great staff and close to the tunnel. Superb!
Getting up early and missing breakfast
Courtyard made it feel more secure for parking with being on a motorbike. Had to leave at 5.30 to be at Eurotunnel so were offered a continental breakfast which was taken to our room ready for the morning. It consisted of porridge, fresh fruit, cereal bars, croissants, pan au chocolate and bottles of fresh juice. Good meals and friendly helpful staff. Large comfy rooms with tea & coffee etc. Would highly recommend.
Friendly staff Large room and bath room Private parking

No quibbles at all. The Rose & Crown at Elham is a perfect place to stay in a beautiful village! Thank you everyone there for looking after us so well.
We loved everything about this stay. Welcoming people, delicious food, very comfortable bed and good old English hospitality. John and Sue are lovely friendly hosts and Sue is an excellent chef. Her Chocolate and Mint Cheesecake was fantastic and the breakfast menu was enormous and the food delicious. A walk around the village is a must if you have time.
The rooms were spacious and well equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast delicious.
Not a thing- it was brilliant
Quiet hotel in countryside, only stayed for one night. Room spacious and clean.
Lack of signal for phone but this isn't the hotel's fault.
