Quiet hotel in countryside, only stayed for one night. Room spacious and clean.

Lack of signal for phone but this isn't the hotel's fault.

The welcome from the landlord. The spacious accommodation. The breakfast in the morning and the lovely and polite lady serving. Other things: well just about everything

Room 3 as it looks in the pictures very large and airy; exposed beams ......would think it would be a bit cold `out of season` though. Nice furnishings. Breakfast freshly cooked - nice breakfast room separate to main part of pub

Shower in room 3 very dodgy and verging on dangerous. Staff courteous enough but slightly disinterested. Evening meal -reheated food; adequate but quite disappointing - :(

The location was perfect for getting to the Channel Tunnel - only 10 minutes to the check-in kiosks without having to get on the motorway ! Elham is a peaceful village and the welcome we got was just what we needed to get our holiday off to a great start . We had a good meal and then a good night's sleep in a comfortable room !Will always stay there in future if we are using the tunnel .We have stayed elsewhere in the area but this was the best by far .

Pleasantly surprised by nice decor (with thoughtful touches), huge bed, garden outside, friendly easy-going staff, fabulous breakfast and lots of history.

Slightly odd noise from the (loo?) pipes at night but it went away after 10 mins!

We arrived before normal check in time as we were attending a Wedding. Two of our three rooms were made available by 11.30am which we were very grateful for.

    Nothing to dislike

The pub itself was very pleasant, with some good real ales. We had a great evening meal, chosen from an interesting menu and the cooked breakfast was excellent and very generous. The staff were friendly and most obliging.

The locals were a bit loud, but left fairly early.

We had an excellent large room. The breakfast was first-rate as were the two evening meals we had in the pub. John & Sue couldn't have made us more comfortable. They don't cook on Sunday nights but the place opposite does, so no problem there.

Despite them putting four routers around the property, we still struggled to get online at times

Food in the pub was very good. The breakfast included in the room price was excellent. Room was comfortable. Good value for money.

Neighbours chaining their bicycles to the tables outside meant they tables could not be used.

Friendly inn with a sense of character in a quiet Kentish village. Very large and comfortable room in the former stable block. Good local beer and pub menu. Also nice to have a full-sized bath as well as a shower.

The digital TV didn't have any radio channels, which is what I prefer to start the day with.
