Score from 107 reviews Fabulous
the spa was good and the greeting from reception and layout of the room was better than expected
could have been cleaner room
Spa facilities were good to say it was included in the price
Spa was nice and relaxing pool to cold though , staff very helpful
Limited stuff available , no food or drinks at the bar available , dirty room had to switch rooms
Poor room, very small and cold.
poor decor in rooms. one perticular staff smealt of sweat. Not good when serving drinks. breakfast wasn't fresh.
Breakfast was very good. Clean towels. Clean sheets.
Full of excuses about it still being renovated-18 months later still no change. SPA:Pool very cold. Jacuzzi scalding. Steam room smelly not clean. Floors dirty. Hotel: Lift not working. Room grubby. No bedding protectors. Staff have excuse for everything. Booked really for pool Children disappointed. Didn't fancy trying bar. Owners seemed to have heard it all before and not interested, just full of excuses.
Only good thing was the breakfast
Sauna too hot and with kids pool too cold not clean
Staff friendly ,
Length of wait for breakfast when it was busy , did not get the same service
No parking which we knew when booking but 7.50 for 18 hours over the road. We had room 204 and supposed to be a deluxe room. The bed was low and too soft. The bathroom door was sticking so it was hard to open when closed. The shower was poor. No power to it. Trying to get it to stay at the temp that I wanted was a task. I was in the shower for that long trying to get it how I wanted I had wrinkly fingers. There was no way of turning the heating off when asked how they said it automatically turns on and off. No nozzle on the radiator. Windows all around the hotel needed a good clean. The only good thing about it was the bar was cheap!
bathroom was clean and tidy, comfy bed, good tv with dvd player, enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub would come here again.
i found there was nothing to dislike for us enjoyed are stay at the hotel
We were very very disappointed with our stay at the Rose Hotel and Spar the whole place looked as if it needed a coat of paint. Our room was very unwelcoming the curtains Stained and grubby and coming of rail. Windows Needed good clean Bed was most uncomfortable and had no mattress protective cover and the springs where poking out and the base was hard wood. Furniture looked if it has come to the end of their life Carpet needed hovered room not cleaned after the first night or made up next day. No clean towels given the next day after shower Shower curtain was dirty and stained The room was only made up after the second night because our daughter also staying at the hotel complained. So although you offer a 10% discount for a return visit, you can rest assured that we will never return to the hotel again.and for others enjoyment of their holiday your seriously need to improve everything A very disappointing stay in Blackpool not a good recommendation for your town
Like the swimming pool and the bed.
Jacuzzi too hot to enter, scalding and dangerous. No steam room, swimming poll too cold.
A nice pool although let down by disgusting toilets and unfortunately had been a window broken so although emptied and refilled was then very cold and still glass around under foot. Other visitors reported breakfast was nice although as a family 9:00 was late for breakfast so we had to eat elsewhere.
View from the room was a dirty back yard full of broken things windows were filthy so obscured some of this view. Bedding was not fully clean and only thin sheet on bed no mattress cover or valence covering broken beds. Walls looked like someone had been sick on them and then not cleaned even when I asked for this to happen . Sink broken, shower poor. Floor unhoovered. No hair dryer in room. Horrible smell of greasy good throughout room from kitchen.
Windows difficult to open, no DVD player, no access to swimming pool - being repaired, should have been highlighted before booking took place, very warm room so windows not opening easily added to discomfort especially with a 3 year old, outside hotel had glass and cigarette bin full of water and doubts - unsightly
The family size room was fantastic. The breakfast in the morning was lovely. The beds were clean and comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Value for money as on the promenade and see view from hotel.
Cleanliness is the only major down fall for me not specifically in hotel room. But the toilets in the hotel its self had not been cleaned. It is obvious that work is being done in the hotel dust from dirt and walls being sanded or something. Staff should be vigilant to ensure all areas are tidy and cleaned. The door in family room to toilet did not close and was not a proper door therefore you can see through the wooden slats.
Room was dirty stains on ceilings and had holes in it £89 for one night and was allowed to use swimming pool as windows and smashed just awful big rip off
Mould on shower curtains. Woken up twice one night due to really loud banging from the radiators. Smell of rooms. Dirty floor that had not been hoovered. Thin walls meaning you can hear your neighbours talking.
There is a bus stop to the Centre right outside and tram stop and pub/restaurant within a short walk. Breakfast was good, and the hotel has comfortable bar lounge arrangements and staff are helpful and friendly.
A window to the pool and solarium has been blown into the pool so currently no access to either. The lift is currenly out of order. Room 201 has leak stains in the ceiling, tiny en-suite with a high step into shower, no toilet brush and broken toilet roll holder (painful). Horrible views of rear pigeon nesting and droppings, soiled bedding dumped and discarded chairs. Our tea tray was not topped up and we did not get biscuits, whilst others did.
Room was warm & comfortable. Hotel staff very friendly & helpfull, leisure facilities were great
Nothing couldn't wait to get home
Poor rooms. Not clean. And pool was not open. Worst hotel I have stop in.
The staff and everything else :)
Loud music playing every morning below our room and our shower was leaking so we couldn't use it
Sauna and spa after a long drive was a luxury. Staff very helpful after reading previous reviews was worried about staying here but found no faults
Only negative was view and birds mess on windows but close curtains and not an issue
Pool spa area
The beds were really uncomfy
Spa and pool,very relaxing
Advertised bar snacks but when I enquired I got offered a bag of sweets off the young barman
The only one good thing was the location
The pool was dirty, it's advertised as spa with beauty treatments yet they have no thearpist on premises. The room was dated old and dirty. The ceiling leaked with heavy rain. The window was smashed. Everything had dust on it. It was a very poor hotel.
