Bedroom was excellent Lots of hot water both bath and shower Lovely greeting by owner
Bed a little soft
Pleasant and helpful owner. Could come and go whenever it suited us. A generous breakfast. Other guests seemed likeable and not intrusive. Well positioned for walking around the village of Sidbury.
Happy with everything.
The rooms and facilities, the food, the helpful staff, the car parking facilities, the proximity to the sea and many interesting places to visit which we did. Including Exeter, Exmouth, Axminster,Lyme Regis,Topsham,Brixham,The Eden Project, etc
No complaints at all.
Convenient. Superb breakfasts. Made to feel very welcome.
Lovely genuine people - nothing was too much trouble.
LOVELY FRESHLY COOKED BREAKFAST. NICE TO BE ABE TO HELP YOURSELF TO TOAST AMPLE PARKING AT THE BACK BEAUTIFUL VILLAGE AND ONLY 3 MILE FROM SIDMOUTH
THE SMELL OF DOGS.
The food, the staff and the dogs.
I liked it all.
Very warm welcome. Superb breakfast .Advice about local activities.
Car parking maneuvering a bit tight.
I liked the fact it was so accesable to everything. Itwas the closest to almost being at home.
we were made to feel at home from the very start. Facilities beautifully done, Warm cosy and tastefully presented.
From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed and at home. I found the bedroom very clean and very very comfortable with all the items you need. A very good choice for breakfast in a nice big dinning room. Safe off road parking and well lit. A central place to stay with lots of lovely places to visit all round. I will be back to stay here for sure.
Excellent breakfast, comfy beds, friendly helpful service, good parking facilities, pleasant quiet village and fine local eateries. Convenient for Sidmouth
The ensuite bathrooms are somewhat claustrophobic like those on a boat or aircraft but we appreciate that is not surprising due to age of cottage to which they have been added. Not a problem due to our short stay.
The bed was a nice surprise. Great bed, new pillows and nice fresh bed linen. Nice breakfast, help yourself to fruit and toast while you wait for the fry up!!
Comfortable house easily found beside the road in pretty village. Good car parking. Easy access to coast and beautiful Sidmouth. Very good breakfast.
Tiny bathrooms with rather noisy macerator.
We liked everything - the warm welcome, the quality of the bedroom and shower room, the breakfast, and (we have to admit) the company of the three dogs. We would both recommend Rose Cottage and aim to visit it again ourselves. One word of warning - do go round the back to find the guest entrance.
Liked the welcome, liked the room, liked the location and particularly liked the views of the village and the local Red Lion pub
The breakfast sausages were the only disappointment - too thin and lacking in taste
Roz who greeted us on arrival was so nice and helpfull & the place was so homely i would definately go again. Also the breakfast was worth the price of the room alone
Warm welcome Comfortable bed Excellent breakfast
Outside light on all night and lighting up my room(No2) Wifi didn't work in my room
Lovely traditional cottage type accommodation Comfortable Good value Excellent breakfast On-site parking
Limited access to Landlady
Great Breakfast Lovely Village Location
Dirty behind and around the bed (cobwebs etc) and a dropped tissue with stains.
Very spacious room, well equipped, including a teapot in the room. Always a book to read which you can exchange or take back on your next stay.
Very friendly greeting, comfortable room and great breakfast, with advice offered on places in the area. Really enjoyed our visit.
A friendly and warm welcome. Nice room with beautiful views but ensuite needed a facelift although very clean. Lovely breakfasts. Roz was very helpful suggesting places to eat for dinner.
Disappointed with ensuite.
Warm welcome pleasant room very nice breakfast.
Our room was at the front of the cottage and the light coming in from outside lighting was a bit bright, maybe a blind would be better.
