Lady who runs it is lovely and room was nice, breakfast was fab and location right by the Lake, all in all a great stay! :)
So perfect! I would love to go there again. Best service
staff very friendly and enjoyed the breakfast
bed very uncomfortable.
The host was lovely and very helpful. Quaint little cottage in the middle of town so great location for food and drinks and close to the harbour and we were able to book for two nights while the rest of the B&B's took a 3 night minimum booking.
I'm not sure if this was because it was a busy bank holiday weekend, but it was extremely noisy with a lot of drink people walking past till very late in the morning, so I did not get much sleep. The cottage although set back from the main road was on the main route to the local pubs and with single glazing windows was rather noisy. The cooked breakfast although a good size and tasty could have had better bread rather than the cheap 30p loaf thin slices and possibly a fruit salad rather than a plate of fruit. Coffee was a bit undrinkable too. Decor is a bit old and tired looking and could do with a lick of paint or change the carpets. I may have been watching a bit too much hotel inspector :)
Very central, service was very good, breakfast was lovely and hot, the room was clean. Parking is in a main car park but you get a pass so it won't cost you. Would recommend this little cottage.
The only thing I can say here if you pick a Friday to stay and are a light sleeper, you will be kept a wake by the inconsiderate people who have to scream and shout when leaving the pubs
other guests a bit noisy
Kitty was a delight, bed was comfortable and breakfast was very good.
Nothing really but the place is due a little refurb.........
Friendly welcome and showed consideration regarding our departure times to get train. Lovely breakfast. Thanks.
The cottage, location, staff were all excellent
Nothing to dislike
staff friendly,breakfast excellent,exceptionally clean,
noise from revellers at the local inn and taverns,
Lovely cottage in the heart of Bowness. Very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and free parking!
We liked everything
Old tipical cottage, very clean, tidy and an excelent value for money. In the village centre and with close free car park. Good free WiFi. Excellent British Breakfast.
We have stayed at Rose Cottage before and found it to be a lovely, well kept, clean bed and breakfast. The breakfast itself was well presented, substantial and delicious. The host is very pleasant and considerate. It is also very helpful to have the parking permit. The location is ideal, very central.
The last stay was up there with our expectations from previous stays. This time though, we had inconsiderate guests in a nearby room, who had their television on ALL night with the volume quite loud, which disturbed our rest. Other than that, we were very happy
The room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast wonderful and it was right in the middle of town near the lake.
The fact that we weren't staying longer!
Very friendly host who was trying everything she could to make the journey comfortable. The interior design was nostalgic.
The guesthouse was so kind to provide WIFI but we could barely get the connection while in the room.
The staff were welcoming and very friendly! Absolutely ideal location and beautiful building. Loved it, have already provisionally booked again.
everything was good except the bed the mattress was terrible, needs to be replaced
Very welcoming staff. Very clean room and happy to accommodate out two year old daughter. Would book again without doubt
The breakfast was nothing to get excited about but was fine and none of us went hungry
Noise from next door
Breakfast and location are good. Very close to the lake and there is a tesco near by.
Room is quiet small, but acceptable. Worth money enough.
A very friendly welcome from Kitty. Great location near the centre of Bowness. Free car parking pass was a bonus. Good breakfast set you up for the day. A good base for our weekend. Would go back.
The decor was rather tired and in need of some tlc. Our bed needed a new mattress.
Everything but still having to pay for a breakfast I didn't have.
We got up late so missed breakfast but didn't received any compensation on £80 which we thought was a bit steep compared to other places I had looked at. I chose it because of the location but other places near by had vacancies and were cheaper.
Very quiet, excellent location and very good breakfast. Many Thanks Kitty.
