Very nice country pub - small and friendly. Excellent food. The local honey and the chef's homemade jam and marmalade provided at breakfast was a really nice touch and the source of the food was given on the menu - all local. Everything has been thought of regarding the accommodation - very well equipped room which included a tray of essentials in the bathroom too. Again it was nice to have homemade biscuits provided along with fresh milk for tea and coffee. Everything was of a high standard and the owners and staff were very attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend the Rose & Crown.
Rooms well equipped Very clean Fantastic breakfast Helpful staff
Very modern rooms in an old but amazing pub. Very comfortable with extra large thick towels. Wish we could of had dinner at the pub but we were too busy exploring the area of Tenbury and Ludlow. Would definitely stay there again. Slept with window open and did not have heavy traffic. So busy all day and slept through any truck traffic.
Rooms are excellent, newly fitted out whilst retaining old world charm of the building. Food is all cooked from scratch with loving care. The bar is very friend and beer prices are a breath of fresh air for a Londoner Like me.
The property is on a busy road and has a large factory next door, alittle unsightly. You may wish to bring ear plugs with you. To be fair the night I stayed the local farmers were rushing to get the harvest in before a big storm so worked around the clock which may have caused the road to be noisy.
Extra large towels, fresh milk, large shower, biscuits.
Hospitality was excellent Room was super clean & comfortable Meals were delicious Breakfast was amazing!
Food was excellent, staff were very pleasant and it was a friendly well run pub.
As we were only here for a night passing through we could laugh about the location but in truth the photograph is very misleading as it is bound on three sides by a lorry park and factory and the third side a busy main road. However, it seemed very popular and everyone seemed to be in on the "don't mention the factory/road!"
Everything was really good from the warm welcome by the owners to the food and comfortable clean rooms. Thank you.
The room was spacious and comfortable - great attention to detail, e.g. fresh milk provided in the room for tea and coffee and free wi-fi. The bar and sitting area are comfortable and welcoming. The food is excellent - great menu imaginatively served. Good to have individually cooked breakfast. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
A small dairy processing plant near by, which could be noisy at times but did not disturb us in any way. Location on main road junction.
Next to a factory with noise during the night. Busy heavy vehicle traffic.
The rooms, food and service were all excellent.
Every thing was to a high standard, very welcoming hosts and great food.
Nothing to fault
We received a warm welcome on arrival, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was wonderfully characterful and very comfortable. The food was superb and the Hobson's Best was well kept. It was good to be able to park the car in view of the room.We wished we could have stayed for longer
The A/C in the room
Nothing. The break was just what we needed.
Bedroom facilities with all the extra special touches very good Breakfast
Mattress could have been better / soft & sagging
Attention to detail and good chef
Location because noisy
Staff very welcoming & helpful. Toiletries in bathroom were amongst the best we have experienced. Obviously a lot of thought had gone into what was provided. Comfortable room. A good location for us.
nearly everything, a great stay
could not put my finger on anything.
We liked everything. Although it is situated on a main road there was no noise heard in the bedroom and we were situated in the front of the building. The staff were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious and portions were generous. I could not fault the inside and the look of the outside. Very easy to find and easy to visit local villages including Ludlow Would definitely go back to visit again.
The factory right next door. I was away with my 86 yrs old mum. I was a little embarrassed as we pulled off the main road to the car park to see this large factory or milk collection building (Kerry) right next to it. I thought 'boy did I get it wrong' 'sorry Mum' However we stayed and were very glad we did. The factory faded into the background because of good staff, good food, beautiful interior and welcoming atmosphere. Will stay again.
Prepared us an excellent salad that we could eat when we got back after the restaurant had closed. Liked the fresh milk and real coffee in our room along with all the other extras.
Good atmosphere. Real ales and excellent food with imaginative menus. Very comfortable room. Excellent service lovely pub with above average facilities and food.
this was by far the best place we have stayed in, in this area . Comfortable room ,excellent breakfast ,welcoming staff.nothing was too much trouble , everything a BnB should be ! We will stay here again .
The room we had was very well presented with very good facilities. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was delicious.
The view from the rear room was terrible, overlooking a factory that surrounds the hotel on three sides, and the roof of the back of the hotel. The front room has a delightful view over the fields and part of the village. That room would be a preferable choice. The outside of the hotel needs plenty of work. The inside is very good.
Everything about the accomodation - clean, very comfortable with so many tasteful extras in the room. The food was delicious and the bar/restaurant area really lovely. Sarah and Chris the proprietors were friendly and efficient. All the staff were helpful and couldnt do enough for us thank you. We had a pleasing view from our front window of fields, cattle and a church.
Just the location was unfortunate in that there is a factory next door and at the back of the inn so it wasnt particularly quiet at night.
Used this as a one night stop over. Lovely conversion of a centuries old pub. Full of character. Great breakfast.
