Rose & Crown  

I loved the decor, the friendly staff and the food was lovely.The bedroom was very tasteful retaining the old world character and charm yet with all the modern amenities and lashings of hot water from the electric shower.

Being an old building it was not able to be soundproofed and every little sound carried but overall I loved my stay there. The mattress was a bit lumpy.

For in late but that was ok cuz the owners were very nice. The rooms were great one room had a slanted floor which gave the place character! The shower, bed ,and desk were on platforms so they were straight:-) everything was clean and the restraunt was yummy! So yummy we bought treats for the road! We also left a little later and the owners were very sweet about it! They had a fun pub dog and enjoyed conversations with the owners Will definately return! Ps the factory didnt oppose as much irritation as most reviews said. Nor the business of the pub was distracting:-)

the accomodation was superb - top class and very good quality. The room was very interesting withj all the different levels. The pub itself was also very "olde world" with a real fire. Staff very polite and helpful

Having to wait nearly 3/4 hour to be served breakfast - it may be cooked to order but there is a limit to what waiting time is acceptable

Excellent welcoming staff. A really good atmosphere in the pub. Great beer and food. Nice room with good facilities. All round a good choice. I would not hesitate to stay there again in the future.

We enjoyed the food which we felt was well cooked and well presented. The accommodation was good comfortable and clean.

The only problem we felt was the sloping floor to the bedroom and headroom height in entering the ensuite, but appreciate the fact that it is an old, but interesting property.

Friendly staff, real ales, real fire in traditional bar, sepaerate dining room with excellent food. Extremely comfortable and well furnished bedroom. Best english breakfast ever. Homemade jams, sauces etc.

The food was excellent. The staff very welcoming. The open fire was very cosy as it was snowing outside.bedroom was very modern and clean.

There is a factory that surrounds this beautiful inn, and they work through the night, it's very noisy, so we had very little sleep. When we mentioned this is morning we were told that's why our room was cheaper!

We had a fantastic stay. The rooms were fantastic and the staff were highly efficient, friendly and very helpful. We were from Australia and booked over the internet so it was delightful to find such a wonderful place to stay sight unseen. We went with our brohter and sister-in-law from Birmingham and they were also very impressed. A full English Breakfast was included in the price. We had dinner there both nights. The food was excellent. Loved the Rose and Crown and if we go back to England we will definitely stay there again.
