The location & the breakfast. Staff were very pleasant.
Single bed was too narrow & hard . Also hard pillows. Rooms too close to doors of other rooms & fire doors noise.
Quality of the food
Lack of space in room, had to climb over corner of bed to get to window.
Extremely noise pipes and water pumps. Every time someone flush the WC, you will we woken up by a annoying engine roaring and pipes clinking.
Close to Station, looks nice from outside, staff seemed ok but not over friendly,
Paper thin walls, we had a triple room next to the Lift! avoid room 25, the walls were paper thin the neighbours in 24 smoked and we got the benefits at 4 in the morning when they came home. breakfast although plentiful was cold (nothing worse than cold bacon and fried egg).
Mostly very friendly staff.
Their "Cooked English Breakfast" is very reduced (no potatoes of any sort, no mushrooms). For vegetarians that leaves canned baked beans, canned tomatoes and fried eggs which consistently had uncooked egg white all over the top side. Very noisy in the first room we got due to AC/heating running all night for the whole hotel. They did change the room upon request. The explained to use that they had to put this type of system in because health and safety doesn't allow windows to open more than 6 inches. However, the windows did actually open all the way, so do not count on that in case you come with small children.
good location, a 15 min walk to oxford street. Clean room. Wifi.
Boring breakfast Not the best beds, small and hard
Attentive, friendly staff. Great convenient location.
Staff at reception very friendly and helpful, bedrooms was comfortable. Quaint hotel and stairs. Fantastic location by Paddington station, Lancaster Gate station and Hyde Park. Short walk from Oxford Street.
Poor breakfast and staff in breakfast room were unpolite and did not answer when we said hello. Not able to smile either. Curtains could have been thicker to filter day light in morning
Location, perfect spot
Room was very small, filled with beds but then they put the babies cut behind the bathroom door which ment getting in there was very difficult
Friendly staff, good breakfast, good value!
Lifts were a bit tricky and not always available when busy which meant hike up four floors!
Noisy air con - why is it being put on in the middle of winter?
Close to tube and bus links, and big red bus tour which we recommend. Good breakfast. Staff were friendly. Lift.
Basic room and small flatscreen, but it had built in DVD.
Staff all friendly
Small room, but everything you need, comfy bed, immaculate modern bathroom, WiFi, kettle and some storage.
The breakfast was served between only 7-9am,would have expected till 10am.
I had accidentially booked single room first, and within minutes switched it to a double room. Online booking process forced me to cancel and re-book. I found hotel staff very inflexible on this matter and they refused to avoid refunding the original single room booking. I found the inflexibility - whether it stems from hotel policy or the staff unbelievable. I won't be visiting them again.
Close to Paddington and not too far to walk for Oxford Street, Hyde Park and other attractions. Good base from where to explore London, without having to drag a suitcase too far! Breakfast was a real bonus and set you up for the day!
Our room was on the small size, but we were only sleeping in there, so did not detract from the stay.
Location and comfort was excellent
English breakfast could have been tastier, but the rest was fine
Cleaning, break facet and services of break fast. Services of hotel.
good location, room was clean and warm
very poor wifi connection!
Great location 1 block from Paddington station and 1 street away from lots of eateries. My room was tiny but perfectly adequate with a modern ensuite and tea and coffee making facilities.
I couldn't get internet in my room and the reception area was too small and too busy to be comfortable, so in the morning I caught up on cyberspace in the breakfast room and I found a place to sit on the stairs in the evening.
close to station
Reception staff were very friendly and efficient. Bedrooms were very good and comfortable.
Breakfast service was poor. Although we were later down but within time by 5 mins a member of staff was very rude and uncooperative until told off and to accommodate us!
Awful staff, rude.
I was staying on business, but the room had poor lighting and no desk.
Quiet, convenient location
No table or chair in bedroom
