Full length blackout curtains. Quiet room Windows had broken catches and did not close - bit of a security risk for a ground floor room. Everything a bit shabby.

Stylish public area/bar/restaurant. Free and good wi-Fi. Very friendly and helpful reception and waiting staff. The food was absolutely disgusting. The pork chop special at dinner tasted as though both it and the mushrooms had been deep fried in rancid fat. Breakfast seemed to have been cooked in the same fat. Cancelled 2nd day's breakfast. There is a good new bistro across the road for dinner but I didn't solve the breakfast problem.......

The location was in the center of town and parking was availabel There was a nasty stain ?blood right in the middle of the room. A bath tap leaked continously and we could hear it running all night. No milk was provided in the room and i had to keep going to reception to inable myself to make a hot drink.

Ample free parking on site. Comfortable beds. Quiet location. Ample hot water. Efficient and quick check in/out. No soap provided on arrival. TV not tuned and staff attempt to rectify failed. Toilet flush needed adjustment. Room a bit cramped due to two arm chairs in limited space. Decor, paint work etc needs refreshing.

The location, the principle reason for choosing this hotel, plus a certain amount of old world charm that I remember from childhood. I was expecting the price to include breakfast. I was told on arrival that breakfast would be £12 extra - ridiculously excessive. I walked 200 yrds down the road and had a great full cooked breakfast with a cup of tea for £3.99.

The Evening staff upon check-in were fantastic very helpful and informative The staff in the morning upon checkout were useless, we were told upon booking that breakfast was £8.75 and had thought we had paid for this but when we checked out we were charged £12.50 each. Also we had booked 2 rooms at different times (1 two months previous, 1 the night before) and we paid less for the late booked room than the early!!!

The location was convenient and the staff were very cheerful and nice. The accommodation is very, very tired and is badly in need of refurbishment. Old mismatched furniture, toilet seat was a cheap thin plastic that moved when you sat on it, plug wall socket hanging off the wall behind the curtain - possibly dangerous, wardrobe doors that don't shut properly without slamming to, radiator without a thermostat, single glazed windows overlooking the tarmac car park - very noisy and particularly disappointing when they said It was the Garden Suite!!! Not a blade of grass nor garden in sight. Went to breakfast at 9 am and hardly anything left out. They had a large party staying but had not replenished the Breakfast foods at self service. The cleaner pulled my bed together but clearly had not stripped it because I had left a pillow down in the bed and this was still there where I left it, like a lump in the bed. I have stayed in Best Western Hotels many times and thought they were all a similar standard but this is the worst I have experienced. I will think twice before booking with them again.

High street location. I misread the booking info and thought breakfast was included in the room price. It cost four pounds more at the hotel than shown on your website The rooms were shabby and the bathroom shower screen was not very clean. Also the toilet was VERY difficult to flush and very noisy refilling.

The location was great, right opposite the castle. We were going to a wedding in Tonbridge Wells and we were only 10 minutes walk from the railway station. We were close to National Trust properties too. The creaky floorboards and the fire doors were heavy just at the top of stairs. You had to open the door and then step back down a stair before you could open the door fully.
