The staff is friendly and tries to make the best use of what they have. Although the hotel goes through a process of renovation, the photo's show a much better image then the reality. We've stayed in a room that was not done yet, and the bathroom was just not to a standard you've expect today (very tiny). This room had just 1 roof window, and they tried to chear it up with a mirror that looked like a window (not done). I've seen the re-moddeled rooms and again here, they feel 'fake', in other words, better stick to the old fashioned room, and give them a proper bathroom and I would have been much happier.

The welcome was first class, warm, friendly and efficient. The hotel was of a high standard of comfort and cleanliness and the food and service was excelent. It was good value for money and well worth a return visit. No draught alcoholic drinks.( a minor problem ).

The staff were excellent, we stayed in the junior suite, there was lots of space, and perfect for our requirements. The food was fresh and home cooked. The value for money was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending and will definitely be staying again

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good. However, despite being dog friendly, we could not leave the dog unattended in the room so was not able to eat in the restaurant at all or drink in the bar without the dog. This meant we had to have breakfast in the bar area not the restaurant. Also, the value for money was not good.

Staff friendly and attentive; food was average but nicely presented. Decor in the dining room and bedroom had been updated - hall, bar and reception looked tired in comparison. Good value but doesn't fall into any of the specialist niches above. Perhaps it could be aimed at the short course market eg a writer's week, to improve the number of guests during the week? I found the dining room cool.

The breakfast was good. Definitely not value for money - way overpriced. Lack of any sound proffing in rooms meant we copuld hear every sound and movement from room next door. Unfriendly and unhelpful receptionist at check-out. Our room was very small.

Staff; Breakfast; Cleanliness Shower did not work; Very little hot water; Cold room; condesation on windows in the morning. Arrived at 14.30hrs and told to go away and come back at 15.00hrs as they were still cleaning rooms. The Bar area was never open, and in the evening the hotel the hotel was very unwelcoming.

They looked after you very well and nothing was too much trouble. They even asked if we wanted to take our dog to breakfast!! We always take our dog but never have we been made so welcome with him. The breakfast was the best we have had for a long time, even when we stopped in a big hotel in Glasgow it wasn't as good as at Rosemount.

We immediately felt at home with the warm welcome and hospitality of the friendliest B&B owners/managers I had ever experienced! This friendliness and helpfulness continued throughout our stay! When I made my booking through Booking.com it was made clear that the room was not refurbished yet and only had a roof window. I appreciated the honesty and was pleasantly surprised with the comfort and cosiness of our room! It was offered at a very special rate and was value for money! The variety of teas, coffee and hot chocolate with biscuits awaiting us in our room was so welcoming and made us feel at home. The location is excellent with stunning views from the garden and I assume from some of the rooms as well. It was a short walk to the town centre (8-10 min.) Ample parking and the buffet breakfast was very good! We will return to Rosemount.
