Hotel was very nice , clean , warm n the decor was very nice , lounge was lovely , breakfast was well presented and very nice !
There was nothing not to like , lovely staff , lovely place
Poor shower pressure
First time staying in this hotel would definetly stay there again good value for money staff really friendly.
nothing great hotel
We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and the staff were very friendly ad helpful during our stay. We really enjoyed the large comfortable bed. Dogs made very welcome
Helpful, friendly ppl.
Location was ok., Staff very friendly. Breakfast was good. 1 lounge bright and nice.
Bar limited stock. (No draught lager). Lounges to cold to sit in. Bar lounge a bit dull and dreary. If any walking disabilities, you would need to use transport. Hotel situated up a hill.
Staff almost over attentive when available however often hard to find. Would have liked to have enjoyed a drink from the bar but couldn't find staff. Booking mix up meant that we were moved to a different room, this did not look like it did on the website and I believe it was a downgrade, still comfortable.
Clean friendly hotel would definitely stay again
The friendliness of the staff and owners. The food was good with plenty of options for all.
The shower room was cold due to it being completely tiled, it was nice looking and excellent shower just requires heating and a towel holder which I believe the owners are in progress of having this rectified.
I have been contacted saying that my card was declined and went through correctly while I was in the phone. I was suppose to pay £50 for the reservation and I have been charged £100. Later on once again I have been told in front of my friends that my card was declined for bill remaining. I have not been aware that I would have to pay the whole amount before checking in - the bed and pillow were terribly uncomfortable - no gluten free option - old bathroom with no pressure on shower - only one set of toiletries - cold room at night - very expensive - no value for money
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Very polite. The room was very cozy, very clean and had all the facilities I needed. The breakfast was fantastic as well. I wish i could have stayed more than one night.
I am being extremely nitpicky here, but there was one small black hair on the bed, and the toilet was a little noisy for a minute after flushing, but this is really splitting hairs. Very hard to find fault with this place.
Fried bread at breakfast - and the various nuts/dried fruit etc to add to the breakfast cereal.
the location was excellent and the food was good.
smallish en-suite with hand held shower, not ideal.
Staff enthusiasm and attentiveness and quality of food!
Bedroom was small and not too warm for time of year.
Location and staff - all staff helpful and efficient.
Some unlic areas are a little shabby.
Helpful staff. Quiet location
A bit expensive for this type of hotel
noisy floorboards and cisterns from surrounding rooms.
You couldn't get a more friendly and welcoming hotel. Very accommodating when we asked if they could warm our baby daughter's dinner, nothing was a problem. We took dinner in the hotel restaurant, and that was very good. Breakfast covered many food taste buds, another thumbs up!
The room for us was a little tight as we required a cot bed for our daughter. The hotel decor had been updated with the times, but the hotel still felt as if it needed a little facelift, however, this did not spoil our stay here, and would recommend this hotel.
staff, quiet area hotel was in
Location, downstairs décor,
small shower, bit of trouble with wifi, more stair to lug your luggage up.
We were on business, and had to leave early in the morning, before breakfast, so the hotel provided us with a continental breakfast to take to our room for the morning so that we could still eat before the breakfast serving times
Room needs a total upgrade to modern decorative order .Very poor sound insulation.Bed needs new replacement.
Short walk to the pick up point for the Enchanted Forest event. Intimate, cosy family atmosphere. By prior arrangement, our evening meal was served at 8pm; able to cater for specialist diet and food needs of small child; good choice of starters and mains. Excellent selection for breakfast.
The water pressure in the shower was poor.
