The Rosery Country House Hotel is set in the picturesque village of Exning and is a traditional, family-run hotel offering friendly personal service and good quality restaurant food and fine wines. The hotel, owned by Tony and Colleen Sullivan, is a Victorian manor house, turned into a hotel 30 years ago; its most recent addition is a Victorian-style conservatory. In additio, all rooms have been refurbished, and now all have private bathrooms with TV and coffee making facilities. The conservatory is now a 100-seat restaurant, complemented by a comfortable bar and lounge area, breakfast room and traditional English Country Garden. For the business traveler there are meeting rooms, and the hotel can provide buffet lunches and bar-snacks as required. Situated just 10 minutes from the Newmarket Racecourses, the hotel frequently hosts corporate events, offering the perfect solution to your lodging and dining needs. Race days are exceedingly popular; it is therefore recommended that you book well in advance. With its traditional architecture, The Rosery is the ideal place for your wedding reception. It offers a complete service, catering, entertainment etc. Hotel Rooms: 13 Most recent booking for this hotel was yesterday at 07:10 from Australia.

Good beer and beer garden, food was also good standard. Generally a good place to stay for the price. Bed was a little uncomfortable as I guess the mattress had gone past its use by date several years ago.

We enjoyed the Hotel, where it is, in Exning, the very helpful and polite staff. The fact that the Rosery has character and not just a modern box with box like rooms. The breakfast in the very large conservatory was exellent with beautiful views into the garden. A lovely stay and we will recommend it to our friends, thank you. The only small complaint is from our friends staying in room 10 was that the 4 poster bed needs a new matteress.

We had booked a standard double room, but were given garden room 1, which is a lovely room with a 4 poster bed and a wet room bathroom. The food and service is excellent, all at a reasonable price. we enjoyed our stay very much, and would stay again.

A very warm welcome with excellent facilities backed up with very good service and hearty food. Set in a lovely village this is just the place for a quiet break or a racing break as its very handy for Newmarket races. The beds are very comfortable and the Sunday Lunch is highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

Tony couldn't have been more accomodating my only remarks would be that attention could be given to the restaurant, lighting and large green plants would make for a more cosy atmosphere. On a bus route, Cambridge 1 hour, Newmarket 10 - 15 mins where you can get a connection to Ely. We parked the car and used our bus pass. Dissappointing meal in a pub close by,
