With a view to the Burrow Mump, this B&B has an understated charm. Catherine was kind and helpful. She makes a great English breakfast, and went the extra mile for us.

This place is like a home from home, fully kitted out with everything you would ever need for self catering, even down to a wine stopper! Big tv, dvd with dvds, sound system with cds and even a selection of reading books. Plenty of storage space. Utility room with washer and dryer! Best power shower we've ever had, good quality toiletries. Great balcony view

The accommodation is part of a private house with gated driveway, having to open and close the gates everytime you went out or came in was a pain. Hot water is on economy 7, so you have to remember to manually turn the timer on the emersion heater if you wanted hot water during the rest of the day, as it will be cold after 2 adults have had a shower in the morning. Balcony area could do with a gate to stop dogs or children going down the steps!

We stayed for 3 nights in early July at Hector's Barn which is the upstairs unit having great views of the countryside & Burrow Mump. Very good location for travelling around the region. Would recommend using the Tesco supermarket in Langport for supplies. The unit was clean, very comfortable & had everything we needed plus it was an easy walk to the local pub. Catherine & Ken were very hospitable & we wouldn't hesitate in recommending this as a great spot for a relaxing few days.

Only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

What's not to like? Friendly informative owners who take the time to listen as well as tell you about local things. The food and accommodation is excellent, even the dog is friendly!! An evening walk along the banks of the Parratt to the 'Mump' is a bonus. If you're in the West Country then treat yourself and stay there, you won't regret it.

    Nothing.

Catherine and Ken were really nice and welcoming, also thoughtful as they supplied small torches if for any reason you needed to go out in the dark. The property was really quiet and had several nice outdoor seating areas. As we are animal lovers we liked Lily and Dotty the two cats and Buddy the dog. There was a wide variety of in room make yourself hot beverages.

bedroom too bright in the morning, no lined curtains. Breakfast for vegetarians was without the meat, there was no non-meat equivalent.(although a good selection was still available).

Large and well decorated bedroom, plenty of light, lovely view across the river and to the famous Mump with church ruins atop, good bathroom, neat selection of teas and more in room, Easy parking. Pleasant owner, Truly good breakfast. Easy to find. Walk to local pub where food is not pub food, it is excellent food and at surprisingly good prices.

    No criticism of any degree.
