Our philosophy is to create a hotel which fulfils our idea of the perfect place to go and stay. This perfect place, whether restaurant or hotel, should be entirely in sympathy with its surroundings.

Lovely room full of character. Super shower. A good breakfast with a huge range on offer. Friendly hosts who were fine when we rang up to say we were going to be a bit late after going to Go ape just down the road. Nice idea to give the wine voucher for the restaurant. It was well deserved after all our efforts!!
The owners had gone above and beyond to make guests stay a good one.
Owners Nice room & ensuite bathroom (nice!) Breakfast !
Sid and Lucy are wonderful hosts, and their B&B is truly a labor of love. The inn is charming, the room is well decorated, and the en suite even has a spa tub-shower! Sid is a great chef, and Lucy is so helpful with suggestions as to what to see in the area.
The building is very close to the road, but considering it is an historic building, that's the way it goes.
Sid and Lucy were very friendly and helpful hosts. The B and B was very well appointed with lots of extras which were a nice touch. The traditional Scottish breakfast was fantastic!
Booking.com did not mention that there was a surcharge if using a credit card.
Wonderful hospitality Sid's legendary Scottish breakfast Lovely historic cottage with garden
Just a little too far from town centre for someone with mobility problems to walk in and back
Being able to make a cup of tea and drink it in a chair rather than sit on a bed. The good breakfasts.
Dragging my bag along a gravel footpath.
Friendly welcome Great breakfast Brilliant power shower Comfy bed
Lucy & Sid were very welcoming. Our superking room was very spacious with a large bathroom. Just what we were after for a one night stop off on the way home.
Off road parking is signposted, but not visible if arriving from out of town
Lovely cottage atmosphere Great location Amazing breakfast Very quiet Easy parking Charming and friendly hosts Shampoo and shower gel provided Beautiful garden Great dinner recommendations
Curtains could have blocked light more
Lucy and Sid were wonderful friendly hosts.
The owners were always totally friendly and helpful; they served an excellent breakfast. The cottage is stylish and cosy. THE only place in our month's holiday to provide face-cloths! (Should be universal as it reduces wastage of shower-gel and hence pollution...)
Parking not adjacent - not ideal when arriving in the rain... The "small double room" is indeed small - worked OK but a hassle when re-packing for departure.
The breakfast were very good
roslin cottage owners are very friendly, the breakfast is amazing and the cook great in his white chef's clothes ! it was warm and cosy
the room is a bit small, but as adviced it is only for short stay
Lucy and Sid were fantastic hosts, very friendly and easy going. The breakfast was very tasty. I'm sure we'll be back for another stay soon.
Owners were really friendly and helpful. Furthermore, we got one of the best Scottish breakfast during all out trip. Thanks to Sid.
a lovely house very warm and friendly hosts very good breakfast also comfortable bed
nothing we did not like
Staff were very welcoming, breakfast was awesome and everything was very clean. We had the small room, and it was very small, but looked out over the back garden...lovely view, very quiet! Quite manageable for a one night stopover.
