The Chainbridge is sited in a unique position between the spectacular River Dee, with it's racing white water and leaping salmon, and the Llangollen canal that begins it's life just a short walk away...

Attitude of staff to special requests. Quick and appropriate response to problems.

Very noisy at night ( wedding do meant sleep was hard work and sods law I needed to be up super early!! )
Parking was good The room was spacious
Bed was uncomfortable Breakfast was cold
Room size Price
Bathroom Twin beds not double as booked Antiquated
room spacious, very clean. plenty of car parking. very convenient. plenty of tea/coffee in room.
shower didn't get very hot. some of breakfast cold. ran out of bacon and eggs replaced after 10mins but staff didn't keep up to demand. negatives disappointing as can be rectified
no single item
The waitress on our first morning there was very helpfull dispute being run of her feet as she was on her own and there were around twenty people in the restaurant.
The room was beginning to look rather tired since our last visit. In the restaurant we ordered two different meals to be told that they were not available. And this was only at 7.15pm. On the second morning at breakfast we were told there was no decaf coffee. So all in all a less successful visit than our last experience.
Close to road links, yet very peaceful village. Couple of pubs and two village convenient stores. Clean and quiet.
Had to ask for extra set of towels only one set in room.
The setting--lovely village
The staff very welcoming. Rooms very comfortable. Breakfast good and staff very obliging. Excellent value for money. For the couple of minuses I would still highly recommend Rossett Hall.
Phone signal sometimes poor had to go outside for use and same for internet poor.
Good value, lovely surroundings, nice and peaceful. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable.
Room Price location food quality bar staff dining room style
limited and pricey menu rooms need some tlc not really executive level accessibility - too many steps between rooms and dining to negotiate for impaired mobility need more breakfast staff noise levels between rooms
Room was large, clean and quiet. Location near river and village pubs. Easy access to chester by road
Workers talking in corridor at. 6 am (residents going to work) won't be a problem at weekends
Ideally located for our purposes!!
very clean hotel, good local amenities. staff very helpful and professional. would happily recommend
other very noisy guests!! but the hotel dealt with the situation well
Bedroom in urgent need of a refurbish. Mould around bath and shower failed to work (a common problem at this Hotel). Only two cooked options for breakfast of which one (the fish) was unavailable. However cooked breakfast was good.
Unhelpful staff, lack of cleanliness, lack of experience of restaurant staff, very poor quality bedding, no mobile phone signal, general state of disrepair in all areas, lack of professionalism by staff and management alike
The rooms were a very good size and in a very good location.the village was good with The Golden Lion a very good pub for a less formal meal.
The only problem we had was during our stay it was very cold and I couldn't get the radiator to turn on luckily I had a blanket in the car.did go to reception said she would get someone to check it the next day but it wasn't any different .
Stayed here with my 2 children we loved the rooms food and the staff were very helpfull
Could only get WiFi in reception :(
We could not fault this hotel the staff were very friendly the family room we were in was very clean and tidy the food was excellent and the location was just right for our stay in Chester we would recommend this place to anyone. Good value for money!
nothing to dislike
Location, availability, helpfulness of male member of staff regarding local area.
Having a twin room as this was not obvious through booking.com
The rooms were very good and the Staff were excellent, couldn't do enough for us. Great Location, not far from Chester and other sights.
I would suggest that the backs of the bathroom doors are cleaned at least once a week, ours was rather grubby with fingerprints, some of the grouting could do with renewing and also the shower mat looked rather tired and old otherwise no complaints.
We stayed at Rossett Hall as we were attending a wedding elsewhere and needed somewhere to stay. The staff were excellent very accommodating, on some instances they went above and beyond. The rooms were nice but could do with a little TLC. There's a play park opposite which was brilliant as we had our 4year old with us and he could expel some energy after our 3hr journey.
The breakfast staff let our experience down a little - they were disorganised, we went for breakfast at 9am and most things had ran out inc plates (twice while we were there and it wasn't busy at all 4 tables max), simple things on our table were missing after they set it up for us - fork for one person, knife for another, cup and saucer for a different person. No coffee/tea offered it became tedious having to keep asking for things, shame really as everyone else were brilliant (lunch time staff day earlier also brilliant)
Great location, small country village a few miles from Chester, nice pubs, nearby Golden Lion strongly recommended.
