Location, ease of parking and quietness
Bed was Lumpy, Not a lot of gluten free choices
Beautiful well appointed hotel in convenient location. Restaurant food was a mixed bag, some good, some very poor. Breakfast was good.
Booked table of 6 in the restaurant for birthday celebration at 7:30 pm. The already very limited menu was reduced as produce had been used up. Very friendly but inexperienced staff struggled to cope. Very mixed quality of food served.
Room service was inefficient. Tray arrived without sauces or condiments. Additional milk requested never arrived.
Free Wifi espeacially as there was no mobile phone service.
Food was not great
Wi-fi worked intermittently. Breakfast poor. Hotel would not provide sandwiches after 10pm on Saturday night.
Excellent shower, good bed, friendly staff
No mobile phone access, at least for O2 network. I had issues with wi-fi (but that may have been down to me) Room was cold on arrival, no hint that customer had to turn on radiator.
The shower was good
but there was only i hand towel to dry yourself with vert poor
room comfortable, food excellent, staff friendly and very helpful.
limited range of beers, breakfast was not hot enough in my opinion
Warm welcome on arrival helpful friendly staff, very comfortable room, breakfast 10/10 and again friendly staff, hotel atmosphere home from home. Very convenient for park and ride to Chester. Overall very good value for money.
Nothing we didn't like
Location for purpose of visit Christmas shopping in Chester.
Beds a little hard. Shower water very hot unable to control temperature.
Easy to find. Good location for visiting Chester Staff were helpful and cheerful
Breakfast was poor Room very cold on arrival Bathroom floor had cracks and was not that clean Only one bath towel TV was hard to operate, but staff did help get it started Hotel seemed to lack character
We arrived at 6.30pm and checked in. When we went to book a table in Oscars restaurant, we were told that it clashed with a Christmas Party. They were trying to make tables available for the hotel guests - they would advise the situation shortly. At 6.50pm we got a phone call to say we could only eat at 7,00pm. Totaly unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still waiting for the General Manager to return my phone call as the duty manager did not have the authority the deal with our complaint - riddiculas to say the least. For what it's worth never going back to this place again - suggest anybody considering staying there tries somewhere else.
Good location near to Chester. Reception staff were efficient and friendly but were the only staff we had contact with as we had room only and didn't use any facilities. The room was clean with nice fluffy white towels. Had an excellent nights sleep even with a wedding & christmas party night being held. .
Hotel a little tired, crack in washbasin/bath. Couldn't find the TV remote and only one bedside light in a twin room.
Bed was very comfortable, shower was lovely and powerful , breakfast was good
Was clean bit not spotless
Breakfast was a bit poor because of under staffing 1 person unable to coup with a sudden influx of people
Comfort good. Breakfast excellent. staff friendly and helpful.
Hotel has a ''tired'' look about it and room paintwork needed a bit of cleaning especially around doors and windows. Free WiFi non existant. Bath took forever to drain away.
Location very good for Chester and North Wales
Location as it met our needs Breakfast
Wifi didn't work second day. Room, had to be moved as first room not good. Temperature, room was incredibly hot. Outside security light was on all night making room very bright.
Good location, Plenty of parking. Breakfast was good plenty of choice but could of been a bit hotter. Staff at breakfast helpful.
The music was a bit load until wedding reception finished. Had to walk outside to get to the bar for a drink as wedding was going on, so could not go through the interior of the hotel. Found a long hair in bed when duvet pulled back, although bed did look clean reported it when booking out & receptionist apologised. Rooms looked in need of a freshen up the decor was very tired looking.
Just what I was looking for. Clean, comfortable spacious accommodation. Reception staff attentive and friendly. I would recommend.
kids loved it. Staff very helpful
nothing all good
Needed to keep the window open to relieve the oppressive room temperature to a bearable level. Reported to staff on checkout who assured this issue would be investigated. The room was otherwise excellent, with a comfortable big bed
Very friendly and accommodating staff. My room was comfortable with large double windows. Breakfast was excellent.
Some of the furnishings appeared a little dated in my room.
Excellent location for what we needed. Staff very friendly.
Walls were paper thin which isn't conducive to a good night sleep. Heated towel rail, while a nice feature is poorly positioned so you can easily burn yourself. Dirty towel in the wardrobe. TV remote didn't work but not a major issue as we didn't spend much time in the room.
