Great staff, very friendly! Breakfast was spot on and the bed was really comfy. Would definetly stay again.

The location - near the road and easily accessible to motorway. Breakfast was nice and friendly staff.

Breakfast area a bit further away although its accessible from inside the corridor is too long. Bathroom taps not cleaned properly and bed linen not changed daily. Television old type and I had to sit up to watch as the stand too low

WiFi didnt work, no mobile signal and outside lines were down - totally cut off. Decor jaded and main house is more like a care home that a country hotel. Restaurant more of a cafe, with supermarket wines and pre-preapared food - no local theme.

Friendly and apart from noise and lights a very comfortable room.

The bar area is more part of the restaurant than a "bar". Lighting in the bedroom was difficult to fathom out!! A very noisy group returning at 3.20am waking us up.

Pleasant and spacious reception, good Car parking, good quality, pleasant rooms, and polite and welcoming staff in all areas. Very handy for visiting relatives in Gresford, and for trips to Chester or North Wales access v good. Friendly real ale pub nearby, (more or less next door).

Quiet. Breakfast. Friendly but non-intrusive staff. Wi-fi without the need for a "key". Lovely "courtyard" view from room 38.

It may be my fault, but if I let the door shut by itself it was rather loud. I was worried about disturbing other guests.

Had to have the television remote changed twice to find one that worked. Then had to ask for a teaspoon as none in room. All could be solved with a checklist before releasing the room ! Breakfast was a bit slow on the Thursday although I appreciate it had been relocated due to decoration. The croissants were lovely freshly cooked but I had to take them with me.Grubby menu a laminated one would be better.

The lack of signal for the telephone and that my lap top wouldn't work for the same reason. not great for business purposes.

The freezing cold room, the lack of extra blankets, the broken shower, the lack of interest of the staff in any of these matters

Looks good from the outside and on into reception where the receptionists were smiley and helpful We were given a suite with a modernish four poster bed and separate "study" which, we guess represented an upgrade on what we'd booked. The breakfast, a fairly basic self-service buffet, was reasonably well managed by the Maitre D and his staff on our first morning.

Outside reception the place is a bit of a warren and decor becomes a bit jaded. While room was large and airy, heating was difficult to control and mattress on bed was very soft and laid on simple wooden slats with no springing - some at the head of the bed even appeared to be missing. On our second morning (Easter Monday), with no Maitre D, breakfast was far less well managed with supply and variety reduced and only anaemic looking, sausages in any quantity.

TV signal was not very good with the result the number of channels was limited. I think the Sky connection was down.
