Beautiful surroundings room lovely couldn't fault breakfast staff really pleasant
Tv remote and lamp in our room not working
It was relaxing with a chilled atmosphere. Lovely room. Food and breakfast was lovely also. I would definitely come back.
No music in the bar area.
Everything. Bar food very good. Breakfast well cooked and just right to set you up for your journey.
Somewhat difficult to find in the dark and rain if you are not traveling towards the Hotel.
Attitude of staff - very helpful and pleasant. Excellent items on restaurant menu and bar menu - Good location for access to Loch Lomond and surrounding area - Clean spacious room
Very very hard bed!
The bed was amazing
The bathroom, shower soaked the floor
The views from the room over the river were amazing, like being on holiday... Guinness was amazing. Staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble, well worth a stay...
It was all good...
We were in the area to visit The Hill House in Helensburgh and this was a great find. Good food. Helpful staff.
Location over looking loch - good breakfast
Room was at back over entrance was a bit noisy when vehicles arrived at night!
The politeness, confidence, knowledge and professionalism of a very ahppy young staff. The food
The view from the ground floor isn't as good as the impression given by the promotional photo. This isn't a hotel that you would want to "lounge" around for a while as there are no good lounges
Location for onward highland touring.
Bed light switch, you need long arms, Lack of surfaces for bathroom towels or any other equipment required in disabled bathroom.
It is a very nice and calm hotel. Our room was upgraded to see view superior for the same price. Very simple but still comfortable. We could enjoy see breeze during the night. Lady at the reception has been very helpful with some advise about the area. Breakfast was tasty.
Food, facilities and staff
The reception staff were very nice and helpful, the cooked breakfast was very good, and the location of the hotel was first class.
Queuing for breakfast, waiting far too long for food to be served in an empty restaurant, once the food arrived it was cold. The hard working restaurant staff got a lot right but for what I paid I never got value.
Quiet picturesque location.
The room illustrated on the booking confirmation was not at all like the one allocated on arrival. The room was designed specifically for the disabled with wheel chair access. The private facilities looked more like a wet room with wc, basin and shower and no bath.
reception was welcoming and very pleasant. room was well presented and as described. food was brill. breakfast a joy. staff could not do enough for you and we shall be back. thanks to all at the Rosslea hall
The scenery, the helpfulness and the flexibility of the friendly and cheerful staff, the quality of the beds, the power of the shower, the excellent breakfasts, the efforts in general to raise comfort for guests. A big Thank You!
Whenever little things didn't work or were forgotten, but: staff always immediately put things right (lamp, towels, paper). The food at dinner time was often too high in calories for us, but we could get alternatives outside the menu (lobster, tomato soup) and it was clear how much everyone did their best.
Very good spacious room with excellent facilities and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was good, but rather slow in arriving.
Our restaurant meal was very disappointing. My choice of sea bass had run out so I had to choose something else. I chose baked lamb loin, which when it arrived after a significant delay, was less than inspiring for the cost (over £19). The small pieces of lamb were coated with a very dry and fairly tasteless stuffing. My partner's chicken supreme was similarly unattractive, and the pastry was not really cooked properly. What a shame, as the view from the table was lovely!!
lovely building, good size room nice gardens
member of bar staff should really think about a new job, sullen and uncaring
Hard to find at first. Restaurant closes early staff not wanting to serve food in bar after 9.15. Pictures on internet appear to show location more on water edge which it is not.
We stayed at Rosslea Hall whilst attending the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. We chose to stay there as they had not grossly over-inflated their prices as had most hotels in the area. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful, our room was large with views over the Firth of Clyde and the full Scottish breakfast very tasty. All in all, an excellent choice and I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to others.
Clean, comfortable rooms. A decent bar area and good restaurant.
Pricey food in the restaurant. Strange little reception.
Everything was just OK. There is nothing I'd say I really liked.
Room was very small and without any decoration. Breakfast was OK. The location itself has not much to offer.
The hotel was beautiful, spotless and the food was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were stylish and comfortable and we couldn't fault it in any way. We would recommend this hotel as an ideal getaway.
The only thing that was missing was a lift, giving a better facility for the disabled.
Friendly, helpful staff. Both breakfast and dinner were great. Good bathroom facilities.
