“The welcome we received from Leo was excellent. He was helpful and informative and made our short stay a very pleasurable one. It takes a few minutes to understand the 'rough' luxe, which was interesting and imaginative. The beds were very comfortable and I liked the fact that it only had nine rooms, very cosy.”

I liked everything at the Rough Luxe Hotel, the extremely nice staff and the interest they showed in me as a guest, the beautiful rooms, the wonderful breakfast, the nice other guests, the location in front of St Pancras, the books in the lobby, the beautiful booklet of the hotel, the works of art, the beautiful weather......... I am still thinking.

I love the way the hotel is laid out and the manager Antonio was great!! We stayed in room 8 which had the most amazing copper tub. To simply put it, "it's just a cool little place to experience". If you're looking for all modern amenities like every other hotel, then don't stay here. But if you're looking for a place that will leave you with great memories and something neat to talk about, then this is the place for you. My wife and I had a blast in the surrounding area. It's very easy to jump on the underground which is conveniently located close-by. Lastly, some complained about the wi-fi, but we had no problem with our connection. It was even good enough to stream movies from Netflix. Thanks Rough Luxe for the great stay!!!

Rough Luxe is a small, quiet island within busy London. With a very special welcoming atmosphere, that promotes informal contact with other guests as well. Good for the unorthodox business traveller. The stairs are a bit of a nuisance..

We were warmly greeted by Leo on our arrival and immediately felt at home. The hotel is as its name suggests, luxurious but rough around the edges - not ostentatious but warm and relaxing. Our room was well decorated and very comfortable. The deep copper bath was an absolute treat, made even more decadent with a complimentary bottle of prosecco!

We were overwhelmed by the warmth and friendliness of Leo's welcome, and the stunning design features of the hotel left us lost for words. Nothing was too much trouble and, as the brochure says, we felt as if we were staying with friends- albeit ones with exquisite taste. Our one- night stay was too short - I know we will return if and when the opportunity presents itself. It was the perfect start to a short break celebrating a very special birthday for my wife. Thank you, Leo,and Rough Luxe. If we had stayed longer, we would have asked for the heating to be turned down - it was very warm !

What a fabulous hotel. Its name says it all, rough where it doesn't matter like the wall coverings or miss-matched fittings but luxurious where it does matter, like the huge, stylish bathrooms or the comfortable bed and beautiful linen. However even the rough is artistic, a feast for the eyes. Leo is great and a wonderful host with a ready cuppa or glass of wine on arrival.

Leo was very friendly and made us feel like special guests. We loved the decor, our room was amazing and we loved the copper bath! The breakfast in the morning was also great. I would recommend this hotel because the design is different to any you will have stayed in previosuly, it feels friendly, contemporary and unusual. The location was also great for us as we were taking the Eurostar to Paris the following day and it was a very short walk to St Pancras.

The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome instantly. The food was delicious. The beds were very comfortable. Our bedrooms and bathroom were spotless. The design is striking. There were lovely touches like chocolates by our beds and Arran Aromatics toiletries. I'd thoroughly recommend the hotel - definitely 5 stars.

The staff are exceptional. They act as if the hotel belongs to them and they opened last week, trying to delight. It works. The rooms are funky, they took what must have been an unwieldy building for a hotel and make it work. The breakfast is amazing, one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. (Fresh-squeezed orange/ginger/carrot juice anyone?). Loved it. Great location, fairly quiet/well isolated although I recommend earplugs for the incessant sirens. The room was tiny, like Japanes tiny. It was ok for us, because we're a young couple and wanted to be together, but otherwise it might not be convenient. Breakfast at a big table, forcing interaction among guests, is not everyone's cup of tea...

From arriving to departing Leo couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was to die for. The location of the hotel is very good. The rooms although small had very comfortable beds. The bathroom/shower room was very high tech and the towels very luxurious along with the toiletries.

Great hotel with fantastic design flare. We particularly loved the huge bathtub in our room! Hotel manager, Leo, was so welcoming and made us feel right at home on arrival, and we were treated to a gorgeous breakfast spread the next morning. We were only there for one night, but the hotel is well located with easy access by tube to London attractions if you're sightseeing. Great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

This small hotel has intriguing charm and style (like it or not) and very friendly, personal staff - excellent breakfast. It is situated in a convenient location (KingsCross-St. Pancras Station/ EuroStar). Rooms are very small - air circulation limited.

The continental breakfast was amazing. Everything you could ask for in a relaxed courtyard setting. Leo was hugely welcoming... Offering a glass of wine on arrival. The rooms were small. Having said that, we did get a mini apartment for our money with a small bedroom and small sitting room... Both quirky in their design.
