Noise from bar prevented us from sleeping.
Excellent room and service
Spacious and comfortable room. Great food. Excellent staff.
Not easy to find the hotel. Poor sat nav reception in immediate area.
The ambience of the hotel, the food and service
The en suite bathroom in the room we were given did not have any heating. It was a late booking and there were no rooms in the hotel available.
Beds were so comfy.
Ideal overnight stop for visiting Pulborough Brooks RSPB reserve. Excellent service, nice comfortable room, good restaurant and lounge bar.
Breakfast was a little sparse, only one slice of bacon with an egg. Realised afterwards by listening to other guests you have to ask for more than one of anything.
Wonderful, friendly staff. Great breakfast, great dinner, very well run hotel. We'll be back.
Location and Tree surround very attractive
We arrived afternoon. It was suggested that if we were to eat dinner then we should book earlier than later. In the event the starter, dinner and desert was disappointing in portion size and value for money. Seasonal vegatables not cooked with tough cabbage. Not enough sauce. and very light on potatoe. Meal for 2 plus 1 round drinks £77.00. We should have been introduced to Bar snack but it wasn't offered as an alternative. Radiators in room needed bleeding. Bathroom scruffy. So. dissapointing but to be fair it is a period property just getting tired.
Quiet location, lovely food, excellent to switch off.
Staff most helpful, surroundings very traditional and quaint. Good value, a happy place.
The location was very quiet which is what we like
Breakfast not good one was sent back twice and it still came with wrong egg from what he ordered. I had a slice of bread,I had eaten one half then noticed it was mouldy, that put me off mine all together, so not a good experience with their breakfasts
Nice to stay in a room with its own features ie. Not like the usual hotel chain where every room is the same.
Wifi in room did not work and poor in bar area. Hair dryer - ladies take your own. Water not very hot at all.
The room was charming and comfortable as was the main part of the hotel. I enjoyed a nice meal in the lounge area in the evening.
Wasn't over happy about the breakfast room being totally cleared around me while I was having breakfast - rolling out tables to another room isn't conducive to a relaxing start to the day. I do feel that 15 more minutes would not have set the staff back too far, and would have made my stay perfect, instead of leaving me quite annoyed at the experience.
Tv in room
Evening meal a bit tough, morning breakfast had tough black pudding
The staff were very professional yet friendly and welcoming
Atmosphere ; Restaurant ; Staff .
Lovely hotel! Very comfortable, big rooms, super staff and delicious breakfast! Very warm and welcoming!
The room was gorgeous, the grounds were lovely, the lounge areas and bar were great and breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Will definitely be staying again soon.
My only complaint is tiny one. There was no prosecco, only cava, and it was pretty pricey for cava.
Everything. Particularly the help I received with a stupid memory problem!
Good restaurant/breakfast, friendly atmosphere. We had a great room with 4-poster bed, large bathroom with separate shower and toilet, and for the price of an ordinary room elsewhere.
It was a little off the beaten track, but otherwise great. We'll go back.
Very pretty hotel. We stayed New Years eve and had room 104, which was very large and comfortable with a large bathroom. Overheard other customers saying how lovely their rooms were too. Ate at the bar as restaurant was fully booked. Burger was very good. All in all a lovely hotel.
This was our 2nd visit to this hotel and we loved it. The food was excellent and cannot fault the service. The room (Tudor Rose) was very comfortable. The surrounding area is beautiful, esp. Arundel. We would definitely stay here again! The food was amazing!!
The Wifi was a bit patchy in the room but this was a very small issue.
Four poster bed and huge bathroom
Poor coffee at breakfast
Relaxing atmosphere Good food Comfortable room Polite helpful staff
The location, this was particularly convenient for us. The general ambience and setting was most charming.
Sound insulation was poor the room was very noisy at times. Felt the food slightly overpriced for the portions. Bar food was better value. Breakfasts were ok but the bread for toast was poor. Not enough butter provided, though more was produced on request.
