The room was luxurious and comfortable the staff fantastic. The food was superb. I would recommend a stay at the Roundabout Hotel.
I loved this Hotel. Stayed here with my husband for one night, as a Birthday treat. Beautifully decorated, (xmas time) quiet lounge are to read papers etc. Had a great Meal in the evening, and a lovely Full English Breakfast in the Morning. Our Room was Massive with a huge queen size bed, large bathroom, desk, table and chairs, with a Huge TV.
Our room was above a staff door, which did bang a few times, up until 10pm. But nothing to serious .
Very pleasant, quiet, and quaint Hotel . Very nice staff, very comfortable. Great breakfast.
Food really good quality Hotel was furnished to high quality but with unique traditional but quirky style Staff friendly and welcoming
Hard to sleep as bedroom too warm although lovely beings large and beautifully decorated and noise of outside fan or generator
Room was great, food was exceptional , staff very helpfull indeed
The bill on food was not itemised so you could easily check it. The clientele in the bars language was a little colourful
Comfortable bed and room. Nice atmosphere, pretty gardens.
Generally the hotel was too hot, including our room, despite the radiator not being on in the room and the window was open.
Stayed there for business. Great place!! Lovely deco, staff very well spoken. Tried to book the next day but was full.
The rooms were too hot at night. The staff in the kitchen were too noisy whilst cleaning the pots and pans at night. Couldn't settle for a while due to this.
Empty pack of fags and beer bottle top in dressing table drawer. Lage bag of multipack of crisps in the bed side table. Right door of bathroom cabinet hanging from its hinges. Very noisy generator? Woke both of us up several times during the night. Superior room faced the parking lot. Vanity mirror in bath had not been cleaned.
Peaceful location, characterful property, friendly staff, well-maintained. Afternoon tea. Nice ambience. Good choice of papers and magazines. Good choice of ales on tap.
Breakfast was very budget. Cheap cereals, cheap juice, cheapest bread. Not much variety on buffet. Bizarre that you have to pay £2.50 extra for the smoked salmon and eggs. The staff guard the orange juice in a jug. Overall, breakfast lets this otherwise great place down.
The hotel appearance and character. The restaurant, bar and food. The bedroom was a lovely big size and big bathroom.
The bed mattress was too soft for and my partner and I were nearly rolling into each other.
Pork belly was great! Friendly staff and large room.
The burger was cooked for at least 5 minutes too long. Somewhat unpalatable.
Service Comfortable room Lovely food
Minimal provision of toilet paper Lack of personal provision re toiletries expected in a hotel of this standard.
Lovely large room. Fresh and well cooked breakfast.
The room heating was not on and we had to request heating specially with the outside temperature five degrees one night. OK it was the first cold night this year but still it should have been sorted without a special request.
Staff were friendly
The wifi was very poor. The food I got was terrible (although others seemed to get on ok). The room was very cramped and located between the noisy kitchen and a busy road (at rush hour).
Excellent service Very good rooms (superior) High quality food
The only minor limitation was lack of fruit at breakfast
Everything. Polite helpful staff, quiet location, lovely room, excellent breakfast, loads if car parking. Can't be faulted.
Nothing. It was all excellent.
The location was beautiful with lovely gardens . We stayed here 36 years ago on our honeymoon and just wanted a trip back down memory , fabulous couple of days thankyou everyone at the roundabout hotel .
Absolutely nothing to dislike .
We liked the pretty building and location
Our room was up in the roof. It was very hot and the electric fan didnt make much of a difference
We loved everything! From the welcoming staff to the fabulous master suite, from the wonderful food to the amazingly relaxing atmosphere this hotel was just what we were looking for for a night away from the children!! Refurbished to a very high standard we just can't fault anything about it.
We didn't like having to leave after just one night!
The location and especially the outside rooms makes for a very nice weekend break. The breakfast is very good indeed and set up a couple of very pleasant days.
Choice of food and lack change of menu could make a longer stay a bit boring in the evening restaurant
A real pleasure to stay here. We will be back next month and already booked for boxing day. Highly recommended.
A wider selection of lagers would have been nice.
Friendly and efficient staff Good food Comfortable bed
Wardrobe too small to get any clothes in - too shallow to accomodate hangers
Location , Staff , Comfort
No handrail on the bathroom wall for the shower
Attractive room. Excellent dinner and breakfast.
Decorative fairy lights outside bedroom window lit our room to almost daylight and would suggest they get turned off earlier to allow sleep.
Restaurant staff very attentive. We were in a famy group of 7, they were very patient!
The temperature in the room was too high for us. All the windows needed to be opened, the central heating was not on! But a very personal criticism!
