Rowanbank Guesthouse is a sandstone Victorian Villa, situated just 5 minutes’ walk from the River Annan, one of the key fishing areas in southwest Scotland. A small car park and garage is available to use free of charge, and there is free public parking within a short distance of the guesthouse. A digital TV, private bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities are available in all Rowanbank rooms, and most have free Wi-Fi. A full Scottish breakfast including potato scones and sausages from a local butcher is served in the dining room, with vegetarian options also available. Haggis and black pudding can be added for extra Scottish authenticity. A wide-screen TV with DVD player is provided in the lounge area, as well as a small library of books. The main high street of Annan is a 2-minute walk, and the market town of Dumfries is just 16 miles away. Powfoot Golf Club is a 10-minute drive and offers links and parklands golf. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Smoking was allowed on the fire escape and the smell percolated onto the stair landing because the door was left open!

The landlord and his wife were very friendly and helpful and attentive. Always asking if there was anything I needed. Highly recommended. APJ. No complaints.
