We were too early in the year for a number of attractions unfortunately. Come after the end of March. However, the Black Watch Museum was excellent especially if in to military history. You can have a guided tour which is very very informative, excellent in fact.
The restaurant, Kisas, was very good.

A small/compact City.
A small/compact City. Historic and the New Museum is fantastic. There are many independent shops as well as the shopping centre. Plenty of good eateries and coffee shops.
well placed for walking or cycling the river has footpaths along it and is well maintained. A lively theatre/live event scene too.

We were in Perth for one night only to see the Dnipro Opera Company from Ukraine perform La Boheme at the city's concert hall. But the city is well known to us.
Parts of Perth are looking a little down at heel these days but it is still a pleasant city to visit with lots of facilities and good eateries.
We ate at the excellent Both3rs Italian restaurant before the opera. Good value and delicious food.

People are friendly, the mix of old buildings and modern ones are great, city centre could do with a big investment, lots of empty premises, if you want a haircut, nails done or a fast food takeout then you have plenty to choose from.

Like many towns and cities Perth has a lot of empty shops.
Like many towns and cities Perth has a lot of empty shops. Lots of cafes. All the usual shops in the town centre within easy walking distance. The station is a 10-15 minute walk from the centre, Lots of car parking but not free; Look out for parking wardens ! Have to feed meters every 4 hours. Good food at the Salutation Hotel but lots of other places available.

It is a small compact city and an ideal centre for viewing the area. A lovely city to walk around and interesting gardens to visit, A large concert hall and small theatre provide entertainment for all tastes.
This was the best place we stayed in Scotland, The Sky Lodge Perth was a very great surprise in our trip. We were nicely welcomed by the staff, our room was very clean, with a very good amount of space, the bathroom had a bath and a nice shower. The highest point was the breakfast, everything was delicious, there was a lot of options, croissant, waffles, breads, coffe, Milk, Juice, yorguts and cereals, all fresh and refield by the staff time by time. We loved everything about Sky Lodge Perth
Sam is a fantastic host who went the extra mile to make sure we got the most out of our overnight stay in Perth. Sam recommended some places to eat in the city and places to go if we wanted to have a little walk around. The breakfast we had was one of the best myself and partner have had during our road trip around Scotland with the personal touch of a fruit salad starter and fresh baked bread. If we ever stay in Perth again we will be looking to stay here again.
Everything was fine and we would be happy to stay again. A good place to break up the long journey from the south of England to the far north of Scotland. The room was comfortable, the restaurant met expectations. Nothing was exceptional - but no complaints either! Our retriever was happy and there were plenty of places to exercise her in and around the grounds.
I was in Perth overnight to see family, and the Heidl was perfect in terms of location (6 minutes’ walk from the station, short walk into town) and facilities. The owner could not have been more friendly and accommodating (e.g. baggage storage) and the breakfast was excellent. Don't hesitate: if you’re looking for a short stay in Perth, stay here.
I was attending an event at the Perth Concert Hall, which is literally just across the road from the hotel.
The breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant had a lovely view across the river. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. Parking at the hotel was very limited but there were several car parks nearby.
Parking on site, 10 minute walk into center of Perth. Rooms were a high standard, coffee tray had fresh milk in a flask and a bar of chocolate, decent shower and toiletries provided. Good Wifi, Breakfast fruit, yogurt, cereals, pain au chocolat and homemade bread, tea and coffee with your choice of hot food which you order the night before
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent for walking around. It's close to everything. I appreciate that it is a pet-friendly hotel and pretty quiet. Also, the darkening window shades were great. There was a breakfast offered, but I opted to go out so can't speak to its quality.
We chose the hotel because it was a convenient location for us coming from a trip from Scotland and before leaving the rental car next morning at Edinburgh Airport. They gave us a bit better room with a large window without additional charges. Quite clean and you can relax in the bathtub.
Definitely the best shower pressure in Scotland! Lovely big front room on ground floor, with extra amenities such as hairdryer, mirrors, couch, with tea, coffee, biscuits. very amenable hosts who swapped rooms for us as our booked room had a leaky shower even before we arrived.
The house is spacious & beautifully maintained in a very quite location by the river Tay, bearing a wonderful garden. Excellent base to tour around Scotland. Julie is a thoughtful host! Many nice walking paths around
Owner very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for our needs. Unfortunately we were in Scotland for a very dear friends funeral, but the hotel was just what we needed to make the sad occasion a little easier.
