Room, Dinner in the Bar
Staff wasn't very helpful to organize luggage transport
Location is nice
- Breakfast was served every day slightly different. Breakfast room itself has some strange old smell, not very clean. If you will come 15 minutes before end of serving time you won't get juice , milk, glass for juice or bread, and staff will ignore you. - Ceilings I think are made of drums, you can hear every step of people staying in room over yours. - Wi-fi only in bar which is on the other side of building, - In bar/restaurant food very very expensive in compare to quality and quantity.
Myself and partner stayed for a two night break. Our room was very spacious very nicely decorated with modern decor unliked alot of hotels we find in the highlands which can be quite dated. The room was very clean, plenty tea n coffee which was good. The views from the hotel overlooking the loch are beautiful. Salochy and Cashel walks situated on the road to the hotel well worth the visit as the views from the top of the hills are fab. Breakfast was also very good large portion :)
Only let down we found was our poor mattress.. I was lying on springs.. not good at all very uncomfortable.I feel this is a basic thing to get right providing a comfortable bed for paying guests. I think to improve the quality of the mattresses would be the only thing this hotel needs to get 5/5. I'd give it 4/5
Myself and my fiance loved our stay at the rowerdennan hotel
No local shop for 5.5 miles
Lovely hotel in a lovely setting. Very cosey hotel our room was decorated very well and staff pleasant. Breakfast was also very good.
Although i would definetly recommend the one fault that let this hotel down was the bed.it was two single beds joined together even though my booking was for a double and the mattresses were like a brick.
Would have expected more for the money we paid.
The views and the place and the surrounding areas also the choice of outdoor activities
Choice of menu good but food cold when presented
room was excellent views amazing breakfast fantastic
bar food was not the best
remote location room facitilties room decor
Very comfortable large bed. Warm room and good clean bathroom. Location and scenery fabulous.
Evening meal not what was ordered. Breakfast not particularly warm, had to ask for toast. Waiting staff not friendly. On checking out was not asked how stay had been. Requires internal painting. Also some staff training to encourage return guests.
room view of loch, breakfast, the room was fine and clean except the usual top of units and facings.
food in the clansman very over priced with a disappointing choice, drinks too expensive, no Pernod, the walk to the water needs tidying up
location is excellent and the rates were good value for money due to time of year. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Slept very badly as my room was located at the back, on the ground floor next to either a fan or a generator behind the kitchen which goes on all night. I complained in the morning but didn't get much of a reaction from the member of staff. Bar food over priced.
Love the peace and quiet of this hotel. The bedroom was beautifully appointed and spotless. Dinner served in the Clansman bar was lovely. All in all a peaceful overnight
No decent beers in the bar, a bit pricey for drinks. The Bothy where breakfast is served is the most oppressive of rooms, stark and out of character
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Great location at start of Ben Lomond trail.
No cask-conditioned ale in bar.
My family and I were upgraded to a luxurious cabin at no extra charge and had an exceptionally comfortable stay. On the whole a lovely hotel, even with torrential rain.
I'm very sorry to say that the bar food was close to awful. Breakfasts were great but evening meals in the bar were way below average. Some changes need to be made there. Lovely staff however. Did not try the restaurant food - if it is any different.
What a fantastic hotel, and the staff are so welcoming,as for location,I live in the lake district, but this place was stunning, would highly recommend!!
On the down side, beds where uncomfortable, and where 2 singles pushed together, apart from that, it's a1
Lovely room with great view of Loch Lomond Relaxed atmosphere with helpful staff Warm and cosy Comfortable bed Clean Drying room
Having to go home!
i liked the quality of the room, breakfast and location. The staff were friendly and helpful and I was grateful to be able to take my dog for a small fee.
I didn't like the squeaky floorboards which you could hear often, but understand it's an old building so is probably unavoidable.
Lovely meal, Danny on bar staff was Ace,
Noisy staircase door
Location was really good, right at the Loch side. Great old building the "superior room" we had was really nice, with great views across the loch.
On arrival at reception desk, I was greeted by a young rude female who did said "did you ring the bell?" so I rang the bell and she walked off, and we waited until someone else arrived. The man who arrived could not find my booking and asked was I sure it wasn't under another name.?! Although there were log fires only one was light in only one of the bars. One couple sat in one of the bars, with no heating, no fire and no lights on. Staff were scruffy - many wearing clothes stained with food.
The room was excellent, the food very good and overall fantastic value for money, we'll be back
On our visit, the weather; raining with poor visibility!
nice location and grounds .good food.and friendly staff.
lounge bar not open no comfortable place to relax (probably due to time of the year)
Amazing scenery.. very quiet.. nice bar... food good
we booked two rooms, the top floor room with lake view is perfect, but the downstairs regular room is a bit small and dark. the food is decent and the bar is lovely. location is perfect for ben lomond hiking and other outdoor activities around
no wifi in the room. the bar has wifi signal but never worked. a bit expensive.
Just about everything!
Only thing which let it down slightly was breakfast not the best. Otherwise excellent
