We asked for a room with a view and we got one, absolutely perfect. Food served in bar was good, quick and hot with great atmosphere with lots of hikers etc.
Log fires, outside area if weather good. Food was good & although very busy not long to wait. Very homely atmosphere.
TV in room not working although staff tried not resolved. East side of Loch Lomond & if used as a stopover for highlands a long journey round the loch to get on your way. Comfortable seating area with bar was not open.
Our room was really nice and clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
The restaurant could be a bit cleaner, would make the impression of the Hotel even better
Had a room right next to reception with a view of garden and car park but all u see is bushes would of liked a view of the loch but overall lovely hotel and would go back again
Great views, lovely room, nice staff
No WiFi, motion sensing lights in the bathroom, hallway and stairs a bit scruffy, poor menu and food at dinner
Room was modern and comfortable.
Unsmiling booking in and the man walked ahead of myself and friend who were both struggling with heavy luggage upstairs. Was told by a more friendlier member of staff at bar that handling bags against Health and Safety policy. Could he not have told us that at the outset instead of being greeted by a robotic expression. Same at table when taking away dishes. Had to struggle to take bags down but a fellow male holiday maker helped out. Won't be back and won't recommend for West Highland Way - keep walking.
The room was very nice, great view on Loch Lomond.
The bar is not very friendly designed. Food didn't taste very good.
rooms and cleanliness and service and location
some more fruit options at breakfast some food prices rather high
Amazing location, lovely new feeling rooms and bathrooms with great views across the Loch and a great wee pub next door called The Clansman which serves great food.
No issues at all to be honest
The majority of staff we're friendly & helpful. The room was very comfortable, clean & welcoming. The hotel bar food was brilliant & very good portions for children. Great atmosphere on a Saturday night. Scenery & surroundings amazing. Play park for children amazing.
We were told we didn't need to book for dinner but found it hard to get a seat, was put into a little alcove out the way which wasn't the great but ended up out in the main part only after a short wait for a better table.
very large room(no16) ,clean and bright with windows on every side - a first! had a very good night's sleep; area/scenery fantastic; drying room provided, which was necesary after Ben Lomond in the pouring rain. Food in the bar was excellent and breakfast good as well. Friendly staff.
would have liked better selection of cereals for breakfast - just two provided ;cornflakes would have been nice
Beer garden,room views excellent.lovely walks nearby.scenic drive to hotel.lovely bathroom.scrambled egg at breakfasted-amazing-
Room decor needed a little attention, otherwise we had s lovely time.
We loved the location of the hotel, our room was newly decorated and very clean, the friendliness of all the staff, the food, both for breakfast and evening meal, particularly the chicken fajitas. We spent time in Glasgow for the games and it was lovely to then be away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Loch and Ben Lomond, which we climbed - no view at the top sadly but still pleased to be able to tick off the list - 1st of the Munros!!
There was nothing we didn't like, didn't want to come home.
Location and room was good.
Customer care was very poor. No friendly welcome or introduction to facilities of hotel. We had no idea who managed the hotel as there was no presence at reception. Breakfast was adequate but service was variable and again not even a good morning. Could have been a lot better considering it's location
View from window, quietness of area, large room and enormous bed.
Slow service at breakfast when busy.
We stayed in Room 6, a superior room at the top of the hotel with views across Loch Lomond. The room was lovely, as was the hotel, and the staff were great.
Luke warm food!
Rooms clean comfortable and modern! Food is nice and good value, sticky toffee pudding was lush :-)
Entertainment would of been good, was a Sat we stayed! Window was dangerous in room we were in, should have been fixed not tied as tie came undone
Location was great with amazing views it was quite clean, we have only marked down because of the point in (what we didnt like) breakfast food quality was good
Our shower didnt work, was cold. We were there for 2 nights, on the second day nobody made our bed or replaced the tea and coffee or the towels (this is std in most places these days) We also paid for an en suite and although we had a private bathroom it was on the other side of the corridor this room should be cheaper and stated at time of booking At breakfast time it was slow to get served, initially they came over and offered tea and coffee but then we seem to have been forgotten about to order the food.(it was busy though)
Beer garden and facilities in room 6 were excellent value for money!
Lack of wifi available even though it is advertised
Place was tired, staff less than enthusiastic apart from the barmen
Beautiful lakeside surroundings. Exquisite but remote. Great bartenders.
Very hot in my room, & I couldn't open the window. The room was right next to the front door and reception, so it was also loud.
Having a bath as well as a shower; flat screen TV; nice beer garden; good friendly staff; nicely decorated room; hospitality tray had lots of teabags for one overnight stay; nice toiletries; the geese in the garden; good breakfast; nice evening meal; excellent location
Room 15 : Bathroom ceiling had a wee bit of a damp patch which could have been painted. Bathroom sink looked clean but was a wee bit dirty. Side of the bath could have been cleaned better
Size and comfort of the rooms
Food rather uninspiring
