Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa  

Very nice but far too expensive. Over £500 without any spa treatments. Will not be returning at those rates.

The cost

Lovely spa hotel with relaxed atmosphere. All staff were helpful and friendly; was particularly impressed with receptionist who on taking us to our room saw it was made up as twin beds and immediately asked if we would have preferred a double room, which we did, a member of staff was sent up and the beds remade within 10 minutes of our arrival. The restaurant staff were also happy to provide a table and unrushed meal service even though we arrived within minutes of the restaurant last serving time. This type of service makes the difference between an ok hotel and a good hotel. Well done!

Excellent value

The relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.

The feeling that booking dinner at 8pm was rather late as it seemed that the restaurant staff needed to finish. Did not get offered desert or coffee.

The hotel was located in beautiful grounds, the room I stayed in was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The spa and swimming pool were lovely and the staff very helpful.

First impressions were excellent and the food and the fitness room first class.

My room was too dark to be able to read. The bed was huge and looked inviting but was far too soft and rolled me into a gap in the middle. There was a nice flat screen tv but the picture was unwatchable Whilst there was tea and coffee in the room there was only sugar for one cup

The staff

No air con and the small english breakfast looked dwarfed on a large plate.

We both had a wonderful time, from the moment we arrived we were made very welcome I thought customer service like this was long gone. I will return as soon as possible

Very private, great facilities and excellent food.

In the room that I stayed there were wooden ventian blinds, that you could see through the gaps from out side, probably a curtain to close across them would be better. But beautful room decor and 4 poster bed.

We were just looking for a hotel for the night, got a great deal on the room and free use of the spa was included, it's small but gorgeous and was a great bonus.

Went to Rowhill Grange Hotel and Spa on the 20th Jan for my husbands birthday, the spa was very relaxing and the massage treatments were 10/10 (a bit pricy but worth it). The restaurant was superb, my husband and I both had the steak and it was extremely scrumptious, very delicate and every mouthful was better than the last 10/10. For starter I had the Wood Pigeon, which was delicious 9/10 and my husband had the scallops 8/10. The staff was very welcoming and attentive (wonderful atmosphere, because that staff made us feel very relaxed) everyone said Happy Birthday to my husband, even though I’d only written it in my hotel reservation notes (attention to detail – Excellent). The restaurant waiter even thought up a birthday muffin (with candle) and a bottle of our favourite red wine (see what I mean, when I say attention to detail - other hotel can definitely learn from this hotel!) I could not have made it an amazing birthday if it wasn’t for the added touches from the staff of Rowhill Grange. Thank you to all the team and will definitely be going back.

The room phone went of twice during the night once at 3.30 and the next time at 4.00
