In the heart of Beverley, The Tudor Rose Hotel is housed in a beautiful Grade II heritage-listed building. There is a bar, a restaurant and free Wi-Fi access.
Score from 55 reviews Very good
Absolutely exquisite grounds and building. Beautiful, decadent furnishings with open fire. Our four poster bedroom was divine and the bed was very comfortable, however, it was very squeaky, and the old windows a little drafty. I would have gladly paid more for our £115 room if the minor repairs where made. Rowley manor is a wonderful place which is sadly under selling itself. All it needs is minor updating and I would be happy to pay £140-£160 a night due to the ambiance and quality of the hotel.
Wonderful location and very clean, excellent breakfast!
Lovely 4 Poster bed BUT the mattress did not fit and the pillows fell behind the bed which made sleeping very uncomfortable. Very pleased I was only staying the one night such a shame as the location was wonderful
Lovely log fires welcoming all day long. Food and service excellent. Very good value for money. We have been before and we will go back again.
We were in room 15. This room needs some attention especially the shower mixer. However very comfortable.
We Liked the old world charm of the place. The friendliness of the staff ,the roaring fires and great food.
Entire place in need of some tender care, with some modernisation.
We didn't get to stay there because they said they had no record of our booking, even though I had the ref. no. with me.All rooms were taken by a wedding party.
Beautiful building in peaceful setting with good views, characterful and comfortable room, delicious food (including veggie options), friendly and efficient staff.
Booking.com did not send my booking through so I had to chase it up myself. Staff at Rowley Manor were very helpful - this is a criticism of Booking.com, not the hotel.
The hotel was charming. The food was excellent as was the attitude of the staff. I would definitely stay again but not in the same room.
The room was too small. The bathroom was very dated and cold. The bed was very uncomfortable. In fairness it was pointed out to me that the room was due to be refurbished.
Beautiful building, friendly, helpful staff, great food, good location for walking and cycling, warm and cosy.
Our only criticism was the size of our room (Room 12). There was hardly room to squeeze round the bed.
The staff were excellent . Breakfast was really good & served hot. Also a very good selection of cereals fresh fruit yogurts and croissants etc.
Bar prices as you would expect were quite high.
if you stay in rooms 1-5 in a 4 posterbed the rooms are very spacious and romantic but the smaller rooms not the same feeling we have stopped there a few times love the place previous bedroom was massive
the bed mattress was too small for the bed as had side panels which caught getting in
Nice building, lovely bar and quiet rooms. Real value for money for meals. Breakfast included and started early enough to be functional for early appointments. Staff were helpful . Would be an ideal wedding venue, pet friendly. Beautiful paneled country house.
My room was on the second floor and was clean if a little small. TV was so high it was only 6 inches from the ceiling. Stairs to the second floor were narrow, twisting and difficult. Mattress coud have been better a bit lumpy. Front reception hall let it down with broken laminate flooring, one section had been replaced and was lovely but the main hall let it down.
Exceptional customer service when faced with a problem.
The room, however this was due to a problem with booking and was rectified.
The countryside, where the house is situated, is wonderful. Bar, Lobby and Dinner Room look luxurious and have charme. The Concierge was awesome. Fantastic breakfast.
At arrival our beds were full of stains. (We complained about that and our room was completely cleaned again immediately) The windows as well as the bathroom need urgent updating. Some of the staff, especially a mature lady was quite unfriendly during checkout
Lovely grounds to enjoy afternoon tea next to the lawns
Decor in bedrooms a bit dated, not least the "avocado" bathroom fittings.
