Rowton Hall Hotel (罗顿厅酒店)  

The location in the countryside outside Chester is excellent for a quiet surrounding to the hotel. In all - we will return.

the room, staff, food, all were absolutely fantastic, wish we had stayed longer!

The outside of the building looks very tired. bedroom we stayed in looks dated and could do with re-furbishing, also outside bedroom, which was ground floor had not been cleaned up for a long time.

After being in the spa for most of the afternoon I was looking forward to a soak in the bath but I discovered there was no bubble bath. It was the only toiletry we did not take. I would recommend the hotel invests in some, afterall it is a spa hotel. It would have finished off an excellent hotel.

Staff were great, though all appeared very young, with no one who appeared to be in overall responsibility.

Room was cold and had to ask three time for heating to be put on. Window sill had towel roll on to stop drip , annoying told no maintenance in? Window ledge, sills, skirting were filthy.

Very pleasant staff, given an upgrade to a suite, which was very nice. Will definitely return when next plan shopping trip in Chester and Cheshire Oaks.

That the dogs were welcome and the quality of the rooms was very good even though pet friendly. Staff friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the Marmaduke room and it was superb. We found the hotel to be very nice and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend this hotel.

Clean comfortable room, 4 poster bed, quiet location and nice spa.

The accomodation and the food were excellent.The spa even though I never used it was lovely and looked very clean.

Some of the staff made me feel uncomfortable as if I wasn't good enough to stay there. In particular one of the receptionists and one of the bar staff. Mostly the staff were helpful and pleasant.The gym equipment was very old and rusty and the gym itself smelt a bit stale.

We attended a wedding and everything was great .The service,the food,the staff were excellent.

room-no 24 was dusty and far too hot even with the little air con provided-is a suitable room for guests. Also our welcome wasn't warm-rather perfunctory with an overly formal tone and a general dismissive direction of how to access our room.

The staff are excellent and service levels are impeccable.

Hotel is a little tired in places. Food was good but in a 4* hotel maybe choice a bit limited.

Very comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, lovely room and bathroom, good food etc.

No full length mirror in room - which as I was going to a wedding would have been most useful! Please ask housekeeping to clean out hair from shower as water did not run away until I had done this! This is a comment - not a complaint!

Full breakfast sunday morning was of a very poor standard

The staff were solicitous and always walked by with a smile and stopped to ask if you were all right. Five star treatment! The room was large, airy, spacious, light and a pleasure to stay in. The surroundings were beautiful. The location was good - close to a town/shops and other eateries. The bar area and restaurant was classy but comfy and relaxing. The steam room was particularly good - and the swimming pool/jacuzzi was nice - I particularly liked the curved sides to the pool which allowed you to stand up all around the edges before it dropped off. The spa also allowed children to visit for certain hours which was great for my 8 year old daughter. The changing area was well decorated and very modern. A pleasure!

I came for the spa facilities and in truth it sounded better than it was - although we all still enjoyed ourselves. The jacuzzi was really a smaller area of the pool with jets - so the temperature was too cool. The sauna wasn't working. The poolside showers weren't very good - I guess if the showers lit up with light therapy and gave a choice of pulsating rain forest (and other such names) rather than just a dreary shower, it would have been nicer. The chairs looked lovely but I didn't find them too comfy as they caused back strain. Overall though, the whole stay was an 8/10. Really helped us unwind! Thanks.

Spa Facilities

My wife, my 19 month old and I recently returned from the Rowton Hotel - what a total disaster! We had contacted the hotel prior to our booking to request an early check in. When we arrived at 2.40 (check in was 3pm) we were told our room was not ready but would be shortly. We were asked to wait in the bar. Perhaps ordinarily this would have been ok had there not been a large wedding in mid flo with photographs taking place in the bar - something we were not earlier warned or told about prior to booking. 1 hour after arrival our room was ready (some 40mins after we could actually check in). This meant we were delayed for our treatments and subsequently our evening meal booked in Chester. One positive was the room itself was very nice, clean & spacious. After delayed treatments and a meal we returned to the hotel and back to the room to settle for the evening. However we soon learned that the hotel had placed us directly above wedding disco which went on until 1am and kept our son up! When we went downstairs to complain and change rooms, we were told the hotel was full and there wasn't anything they could do. No interest in any discounts or even an apology when we checked out! Nightmare break and a waste of money!

The service in the bar was very slow which would seem to be due to the lack of staff as the bar had only five couples in at the time.

Young, friendly and very professional staff No noise, despite two weddings being held whilst we were there Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Table 10 in the restaurant. Good parking Great spa facilities - hot steam room Pleasant Location a lovely ambience

Having to access our room via the conservatory when wedding guests were in there (we were shown an alternative route on the Saturday) Our room was a tad chilly at times (we did ensure radiators were on full and also used the portable heater - which helped)

The spa, pool and gym were fantastic - a real treat. It was lovely and quiet.

This is difficult. If I was being really picky - there was a bit of lack of attention to detail. We did not have spa slippers or a hairdryer in our room as expected and in our daughter's room, the bedside light was broken and dangerous and their safe did not work. The tennis courts were ideal but could have done with a bit of a tidy up. However, most of this was rectified when we brought it to the staff's attention.

Everything. A hotel that is worth the price. The room was large and the bathroom was superb. Staff were great

I liked everything However it became noisy at 1.30am as if staff were moving tables, chairs, pianos etc. I never did find out what it was but our room shook and it certainly woke us up. I phoned reception to complain but never got an answer! The man on reception did shout out to someone to be quiet
