The hotel was nice and central for a shopping trip, at the end of a long day it was a lovely room to relax in, a lovely size room and very comfortable. |

We were given a lovely spacious room on the third floor. It had no view but everything else was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very large with separate bath and shower. They were in the middle of an extensive redecoration program which obviously caused some slight disturbance but the staff kept everything going as smoothly as possible I found the staff to be very helpful. |

Close proximity to major attractions The room was exceedingly dimly it - only two lamps. Asked for extra lighting three times without any response (twice to reception, once to a member of the room cleaning staff). Was told first time that hotel was full and did not have any extra lamps, which I find very hard to believe, given that lamps could break. Third time of asking was assured that a lamp would be in my room by my return that day, which did not happen. We had beverage and toast for breakfast the first morning, which consisted of one piece of toast for a total cost of 13 GBP, an exhorbitant price, I thought. Staff was not particuarly friendly and the area beyond the reception area was very sparsely furnished and unwelcoming. Extremely small elevator, slow. |

The staff were extremely courteous and helpful, apart from when the fire alarm went off and nobody seemed to relay any information to the guests. Room 102 was a great room, tastefully furnished and spacious with a super bathroom but there was an external noise that stopped both my husband and I from sleeping so the staff moved us to room 463. This room was not as good as our first room but we had a better nights sleep. However, after the fire alarm went off there was a continuous pulsating noise and we did not sleep well again. Although the staff were apologetic and were going to ask maintenance to check the room it was the same that night. |

Helpfull staff, good service, nice breakfast, great loocation for sightseing and shopping. Nice bar with great staff that rember you and what you had to drink the day before. Great beds and bath. The bath was a litle small but clean. We hade a room at the top floor with window in the sealing, that dit not give any view of the city. The door to the room was not open under and gave away both light and sound form the hall. But ther were no sound from the rooms close by. |

Room I booked was "unavailable" until I said I would leave and go to another hotel, then the room I booked became available. I think that is a very poor way to do business. |

there was generally a very good atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. I would have preferred a more varied dinner menu |

My room was both spacious and very comfortable. My colleague's room was extremely small (an attic room) which was far from adequate for a 4 star hotel. He was moved. |

The closeness to all the main attractions in Edinburgh The car parking charge is a bit steep but appreciate not many spaces and limited alternatives |

We were upgraded (not sure why) and our room had a fabulous view of the Edinburgh Castle. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Room included an iron and a hairdryer, not always found in uk hotels. Very close proximity to the shopping district and within easy walking distance of the Royal Mile. Check out is 11 am. Late check out is charged at a rate of 20gbp per hour. |

The location of the hotel was very good for visiting the city. The bathroom in the room was of a good size. The downstairs lounges were unavailable due to renovation, the price of the hotel considering the space and lack of lounge facilities was rather high. |

This is a charming hotel in the centre of Edinburgh. The rooms are very well appointed, sparkling in cleanliness and provide everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing break. |

The room was nice and clean. Bed was really comfortable and the location is brilliant. Staff are nice and accomodating... we were moved to another hotel for one night, but they arranged taxis and we got that night for free. When we arrived we were told that there were no rooms available due to repairs to the hotel, so we were moved to the "sister hotel" Holyrood that was nowhere near as nice as the Roxburghe. We were then moved back to the Roxburghe after one night. We weren't charged for that night but I just wish had been told in advance that we were gonna be moved. |

The historic, chic and very central George Hotel is close to Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street Gardens and Holyrood Palace. It has elegant rooms and a popular restaurant and bar. |
On the historic Royal Mile, Radisson BLU Hotel Edinburgh offers free Wi-Fi, a swimming pool and a gym. Waverley Station is just a 5-minute walk away. |
On Princes Street, opposite the Scott Monument and National Gallery, Ramada Mount Royal has excellent location, a friendly atmosphere and views of Edinburgh Castle. |
With views of Edinburgh Castle, this Hilton hotel has a leisure club with gym and pool, luxury rooms and an excellent location off Princes Street, close to the EICC. |
