Location, staff very friendly and helpful
Not 24 hour desk, had to wait for or call when staff would be in.
Helpful staff. Good wifi. Short walk to museums.
it was a pleasure to be greeted by such lovely staff, comfy bed an clean sheets an towels, will deffo be staying again ... an a bottle of water waiting for u to help with your hangover ...good thinking hehe xxx
No running water in room, sharing a bathroom, driving past 3 times looking for the house in the picture on the internet, far too expensive for a room only set up, no breakfast included or offered as an option, no shower gel in bathroom, I will read reviews next time and obviously won't go back.
Not far from the centre of Liverpool.
For £69 I got a room with a not particularly comfortable single bed and some tea making equipment, plus a communal bathroom and toilet, without towels.
Only the location is not far from the university...
The layout is not good, and furnishings are all shabby, especially the wooden floor. We suffered listening to the footfall and all other movement of upstairs the whole night! And other guests were so noisy! They walked around from time to time with annoying shouting!
Location - right beside Royal Hospital and a few minutes walk from the three universities and the Cathedrals; 5 minute walk to city or 10 minute walk to heart of city and Liverpool One; short bus or 30 minute walk to Anfield and Goodison; Modern rooms; Fresh and clean with permanently hot sinks; Extremely friendly and helpful proprietor and staff; No ensuite but bonus is every half dozen rooms have two bathrooms and their own kitchen/living room and a chance to meet a cosmopolitan group of people; short stay and long stay opportunities; great value for the location and well worth a try!
comfy bed very helpful staff clean room
It's basically a converted student dorm building. The "Royal" in the title and the lack of photos of the building make you expect something a lot better than it actually is. The quality is reflected in the price which is okay but my expectations were somewhat higher.
Cheap party hotel. Better staying on a park bench, really.
Close to city centre and Lime Street Station
Convenient for Lime Street, clean with good wifi
Still a bit expensive for what it is.
I don't think this can be considered as a hotel. No reception, nobody is around to help you, tiny rooms, that too poorly managed. It's a kind of hostel, not at all worth for the amount I paid.
The staff here are very helpful, laid back, friendly and wonderful people. It was a lovely welcome and I thought the place was exactly as I expected for the amount of money we paid. Felt that the only thing that needed to be done is the floor, it was all over the place with regards to the floorboards under the carpet. Beds were comfy and the accomadation was clean and tidy. They helped us out with things that we have forgotten with a lovely pink hair dryer, spare towels and also toothpaste too. Really liked the place and I will go back there to stay when back in Liverpool as it not far from the centre.
Apart from the flooring nothing
creaky floors, shared bathrooms, pricey for what it was.
Bed very comfortable, tea service, water to drink free.
Bad front desk, share toilet, no tv
We stayed here when we went down Liverpool for a night out, 2min walk from station and clubs. Ideal place.
Lights coming through blinds, no curtains - lack of sleep.
It was clean, I'll give it that.
Where to start... There's nothing royal about this place: - Unwelcoming reception staff who are only available during certain hours (bad luck if you get locked out or need anything from them because they won't be around to help!) - VERY basic accommodation (no bedside tables, teeny mirror, scratchy carpet) - Boiling hot room even in September - Noisy extractor fan outside - Opposite the hospital so constant noise of sirens - Whilst it's close to town it's not in the best area and we didn't feel safe walking back after a night out - The shared bathrooms are advertised, but for the price we paid we would have expected a better standard - the showers looked like they were from the 1970s - Unless you get a REALLY cheap room, this does not offer value for money at all - far better spending your pennies at a travel lodge or premier inn.
Location 10mins from city centre.Comfortable beds.Nice spots to eat on doorstep and shops nearby too.Well looked after by host Therese. We'll be back.Up Mayo!!
Cheap and cheerful
It was relatively close to lime street station
The rooms were rather poor, not even a tv
Easy to come and go with no fuss
Towels and bath mat a bit worn
Basic accommodation but everything you needed, clean, friendly staff, wifi, tea/coffee, easy walk to lime street, super value for money!
Room was simple, but clean and private. The price was o.k. only because I booked it for a reduced price of 50%.
I paid cash and did not get a receipt. When I asked for it I was told they will send it via email, but they never did. Is there a kitchen to use? I couldn't find it, nobody explained the facilities and the reception was closed soon after I checked in.
It's a low budget place to stay.
Location Staff on call close to restaurant and some shops
bin not cleared every day. Wi Fi not on all the time.
