Nice get away from it all mini break in lovely Dunkeld.Looking around you can feel the history of the place...
Food not as good as last time we visited a few years ago but still nice.Room looking a bit tired and nothing in room to tell you meal times, menu etc...you are informed at reception on booking in only.Bed lovely and comfy though.
good food, good location
rooms are a little dates, they reminded me of the Trust House Forte hotels of the past - lovely building but very 1970's room.
Very relaxing visit.
Only thing not too good was quality of the coffee for breakfast.
The bedroom was supposed to be an executive (upgraded) room. However in reality it was simply a family room with a very small ensuite. There was not much special about it to justify the price of £140 for B&B quite frankly.
Some of the staff very helpful others not so, good breakfast.
Hotel Run down beds poor quality not worth £100 a night
Food was excellent, nice big cream towels and glasses in bathroom. Very friendly staff.
I prefer a bath. Bit of a mix up with our rooms.
room clean, staff friendly, lovely breakfast with plenty toast
creaky floor boards in bathroom
staff were all nice and helpfull. i would be happy to return anytime to this hotel.
Bed was very comfy
Very friendly staff, lovely breakfast, clean, large room, great value, quiet and right in the middle of Dunkeld.
Rooms are a little dated but perfectly comfortable, they seem to be updating as the dinning room and breakfast room are lovely. Plumbing in room 110 needs a little work!
Made very welcome, comfortable room; good food
Breakfast coffee - poor quality, not hot; no lift - second floor room carrying heavy bags difficult
Very friendly staff, good food. A typical hospitable Highland hotel complete with creaking floors! Excellent location and beautiful countryside.
Traditional coaching Inn atmosphere Food
Room a bit cramped
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was great
Rooms are a bit tired could do with some new decor
Very helpful and friendly staff
Rooms upstairs (my mobility problem, not the hotel's)
Friendly staff. Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Traditional Scottish decor, with numerous, interesting paintings, prints. Good internet connection at no additional charge. Very quiet and peaceful place. Good parking facilities. Definately a place we will return too.
Nothing springs to mind
We loved the village, walked the Main Street and paths behind the hotel to the river - dined well in town, shopped the book store in the church, met friendly people with friendly dogs also on walks. The window boxes of flourishing begonias looked wonderful from our bed.
We were attending a wedding at a nearby hotel and booked this hotel to stay. I asked at reception if my husband who was arriving later than me could order a taxi to the wedding and the owner offered to drive him to the wedding! He also offered us use of the residents lounge for our return as we were catching up with friends we hadn't seen in a long while. He also chilled champagne that we had brought. Great staff, really made the stay a pleasure. Will be booking again soon!
The location was good, the staff were all very friendly. The restaurant provided good home cooked food.
Breakfast and staff were great
Walls so thin I could hear the person in the next room snoring. Pretty dated, bed so hard along with the pillows. Very tiny room and shower head could use some bleach.
Comfortable, good breakfast and choice of evening meal and very comfortable bed...some of the decor was a little dated but this added to the ambiance of the place...wouldn't have been surprised to see someone in a deerstalker and smoking a pipe.
A very good restaurant in a very nice town
Staff were experience and very helpful. Food excellent. Would go back.

Rooms are getting a bit tired
