Like a maze
1st stay here. Have stayed in Many hotels on business but the Roy Eagle has to be he best value for money. Staff were excellent. Receptionist 1st day and was polite very friendly and remembered my name the following day. Only 5 mins from Paddington. Will definately stay again.
Location, and having a lift (unusual in these parts)
Room in the basement under the level of the road
Staff friendly on front desk and easy to find
Were given a basement room which was so noisy all night long. Hallway was always busy with staff and window backed onto road and service yard. Room said had ironing facilities but these werent in room had to ask reception who then made me carry an ironing board and iron down flights of stairs to my room.
good location near the solutions and london underground so good to get around london for his hotel
could not get hot water out of the shower
Location room design price
No double glazing the road very busy and you can hear the trafic all the night
No hassle accommodation. Staff welcome was very friendly and our rooms were available before the allocated time which was very impressive. Clean quiet and fit for our purpose.
Nothing it was all very comfortable.
The room was small and not sound proof very noisy
Room was very small, could not even store a suitcase in normaL manner. Room was located on the groundfloor behind the bar, which I have never seen before. As the hotel is located next to a street crossing it was very noisy too. Will never go there again, neither would recommend it to somebody else. I cannot believe that this hotel is indicated as recommended by Booking.com on their website.
Location is good , rooms are good and comfortable , cleanliness wise good staff, love my trip to this hotel
Staff were very helpful and friendly , the location was perfect
The only thing they could of changed was the breakfast menu but luckily there is a cafe over the road that does cheap cooked breakfasts so it wasn't an issue.
Good location, friendly staff, quiet environment
Poor breakfast, Bad wi-fi + we had to pay for it
water boiler in the room
Single room & bathroom very small
no air conditioning only continental breakfast
Reasonably near to a couple of underground stations .
The only way you could cool the room off was leave the window open, and use the fan to try and get some fresh air. Then the noise of the fan made it hard to sleep. Also poor access into the hotel if you have a fused ankle.
Big room. Small terrace. wiew of the street.
No air condition Steep stairs (not good for small children)
Location was good, lobby was nice, rooms were spartan but clean.
Hotel was on a noisy road and we had to keep the windows open to keep the room cool. It was too noisy to sleep. Rooms in the front should have air conditioning so you don't have to hear sirens all night (hotel is close to a hospital.) Hotel was advertised to have free wifi, however only 30 minutes was free, after that it was 10 pounds for the day--this is definitely not free.
Close to paddington
We liked that it was close to a major subway station. We liked that it was reasonably priced compared with other hotels closer to central London.
It would have been more comfortable to have air conditioning since we stayed in the middle of summer.
location, cleanliness of the hotel
room very small, I was supposed to be joined by my partner, but both of us would have not fitted in the bed and this was classed as a double room
Not much .Nothing, actually.
A great deal, including the unhelpful staff, poorly fitting bed linen that was forever falling off, notg enough clean towel#ls and then told they could not helpwith getting any more. Just as wellwe were heavy sleepers. We also didn't like being watched by the breakfast room staff just in case we had too much to eat. The cook breakfast was nothing of the sort! It was a cold boiled egg, a slice of cheese and cold sliced ham. Since when did that become an English breakfast!! I'd NEVER recommend the Royal Eagle to anyone..
smallness of room
The proximity to Paddington Station was the best part.
The room was stuffy as there's no air conditioning.
