Royal Eagle Hotel    

I always stay here if travelling into London via Paddington. The hotel is clean, only 5 mins walk from Paddington Rail Station, and easy to access the tube and rail to other areas of the city. Some of the rooms are dated, but always clean. Areas of the hotel have been redecorated recently. The bar is a plus. The staff are helpful. There is a sml luggage store which is a great benefit.

Good location - 5 minutes walk from Paddington. Clean room. Excellent shower.

Room 101 on the main street, very noisy. Old windows require double glazing to keep the sound down. Very small room, but adequate for 1 night.

Nothing at all to like about this Hotel...... The staff were not helpful and most of the time quite rude and arrogant. Room not fit for a family. Double bed located on a loft with low ceiling and no ventilation. Room was extremely cramped even for London standards. No room for luggage etc.

Still waiting for response for over charge of 139.00 pound on my credit card made through booking .com

Easy access to tube stations. Clean comfortable room and helpful staff members. A very pleasant stay and would book again.

Ground floor room - while free from traffic noise it was next to stairs and staff quarters and we did experience lots of noise through the night with doors banging and people traffic (very creaky floorboards). Next time would perhaps prefer first floor

Location. Staff did what they could within the limits of a badly built hotel with a cramped floor plan.

Small rooms. Dishonest advertising ("double room" was presented with a picture of a family room on the website. Was in fact a single room with a double bed; uninhabitable for older person) Untidy. Holes, scrapes, and smudes on walls. Expensive substandard breakfast. No free wifi. Street facing rooms too noisy to sleep in. Room was for my father. Had to deal with reception and change rooms three times to get him a semi decent room. Will not be using hotel again.

their computer system was down when I checked in which caused delay, Still down next morning so no receipt for my stay. It was promised by email that day but has not arrived three days later.

cramped conditions. No room for luggage. Unclean. Faulty bathroom fixtures and fittings. Unhelpful and unenthusiastic staff. Poor acoustics; could here sounds in surrounding rooms and corridors.

the location was perfect - it was also located near some very budget friendly, albeit good valued restaurants. It was a great gateway to Notting Hill and the tube was convenient.

The first room we received on the fifth floor was horrible. The breakfast was expensive and not very good. We had our rooms moved - after complaining and that was better. It was cold. Perpetually so. When my husband inquired about a near by laundry, he was told that there was no place but the hotel could handle it - at four pound a shirt etc. We ended up using someone just around the corner at considerable cost reduction. our room was cleaned every morning, but the floor was often left undusted etc. We had come from a similar situation in Paris and were really surprised at how marginal your hotel was.

Hotel is near Paddington station. It's very convenient location. Room is very clean.

Rooms ok and warm, could do with updating and redecorating but generally clean and convenient.

When I booked the room, I requested a quiet room as I am a very light sleeper, but they put me in a room facing a very busy road (which I could eventually switch off from), but much more annoying I was put opposite the lifts so the noise was constant through out the night. I did request a change of room for the next night and they were very helpful.
