The room was very clean / new & comfortable - the heating was controllable.

Originally booked for 4 nights but they only had us down for 1 night. The poor girl who was on duty doing both the bar and the hotel didnt have a clue about anything - not her fault - the managements fault. The chef was very rude to my mate on the morning we left shouting oi - oi you - what room are you staying in. This was the chef ffs what had it to do with him. Car got locked in too early. Didn't know the correct wi fi password as it was handwritten and so we had no internet connection. There was no bin in the room - and there was no info about the hotel / breakfast times / check out times etc. Everything badly organised.

Bed was comfortable, owner ordered us a taxi over the phone

Unfriendly welcoming, bedroom door didn't lock from the outside so our room remained unlocked until we got back from our night out, sink was cracked,

Rooms are very clean and nice, nice room design, private parking, caring manager Peter, funny kettle (need to include instructions of use ), not far form city centre

No lift to the 2nd floor; not advisable during football match for non football lovers, as there is a stadium next to and a pub downstairs , where a crowd of people gathering in a pub and lobby

Clean hotel for over night stay, secure parking, ideal for football matches, welcoming staff, good food and sensibly priced.

Staff friendly and welcoming and very helpful. We were phoned before we arrived to be told that there was a Birmingham City football match on and were told when the best time would be to come.

A few marks on the wall and the toilet seat was broken on arrival, however this didn't affect our stay.

It was excellent value for money, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Ideal for a short stay.

You could not have the windows open as the traffic noise was pretty bad. However the hotel is on a busy road into the city so that is expected.

The shower lacked hot water, we had to have a freezing cold shower!

The room was nice and you got a lot for your money 2 rooms and ensuite.

The staff made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. The entrance card did not work so I had to go through the bar instead of a side entrance.. There was a party all night so we were unable to sleep till 5 in the morning. I tried to cancel as my words to you were I feel like I have walked into the wrong part of town and am very uncomfortable. Booking.com did not do anything to put me at ease and to top it all off when I went to have a shower in the morning the shower screen smashed causing cuts to my hand and leg. So overall an awful experience. I will be sending a formal complaint shortly.

A great location for an event at St. Andrews. Beds and rooms are really comfortable.

Family room above a loud busy bar. Staff not able to help or know how to help.

The hotel was brilliantly located as the conference was held at the football ground. The staff were really friendly and the room was a nice size. It was a real bonus that we were able to leave the car at the hotel during the conference after we had checked out.

The room wasn't completely clean, the toilet seat was broken, the teas-maid leaked and seemed to be missing a cap (so we didn't use it) and the card machine didn't have paper in it so I didn't get a transactional receipt (but the staff did kindly prepared an invoice for me). These are minor complaints but it's a shame as overall our experience was really positive.

It was a shame that the bar that you pass through to get to the hotel lift wasn't reserved for hotel guests. Would have given more peace of mind as to the security of the rooms upstairs.

Room had been recently decorated, bed was lovely and linen clean and fresh

No hot water! So could not wash/shave/shower properly. No-one to complain to, only chef available in morning. Breakfast ok - but no jam or marmalade for toast.

The room was clean and comfortable, convenient for buses into the city centre

Unfortunatly the bathroom was not finished, tiles un grouted, shower cubicle door not properly attached and there was no hot water on either night

Lovely rooms, clean and comfy.

It would be the bar at the reception. I would suggest separating the two.

no drinking water or small fridge. main entrance drabby not worth high rates, smokey air and general cigarette stench down stairs.poor lighting in shower/toilet,general decor rundown downstairs.
