Personeel was heel vriendelijk, ontbijt was goed, ligt lekker centraal. Leuk was de extra kamer op de 4e verdieping. De douche en wc hadden erg weinig waterdruk. De wc spoelde niet goed door en de douche was dan weer te heet, dan weer te koud en het mechanisme wat er voor moet zorgen dat je of alleen uit de douche of alleen uit de kraan water krijgt werkte niet, zodat je uit beide een dun straaltje kreeg, Ook de stang waar de douchekop op moest rusten viel voortdurend naar beneden. Het interieur kon een update gebruiken. Het geheel maakte de indruk alsof er al een tijd niets aan onderhoud gedaan was.

The staff was so friendly, and could not do enough for you. The meals was first class, and all I heard people say was how are they going to eat all that. Breakfast, you could have helped yourself from a lot of cereals, juice, there was toast and a choise of a fryed breakfast, that alone, with the staff and the meals was worth the stay. People have complained about the state of the rooms ie the pantwork, the carpets and a few other items, they seem to forget you are a two star hotel, and the staff and meals more than make up for this

Rooms are very tired and characterless. Staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel has a very dingy feel to it.

The hotel has seen better days but the outstanding staff might our stay the perfect vacation. They where friendly and available. The food in the hotel was lovely and for the price where family friendly and I did not mannage ones to finish plate.....I can truly recomend there vegitarian options. Kindly Jeanette

The staff where friendly, the hotel was clean and the breakfast, while a basic full breakfast, was excellent. The location in town is good for shopping and going out for the evening. The hotel would benefit from a refurbishment.

Not a lot. My sheets were soiled (i have a picture of this) when i arrived and for the price i felt it was a disgrace. The room was cold and the bath water was tepid.Also i hope i was not charged twice for the room as i have not checked this yet. All in all not a good experience. Amec as a company use thousands of hotels each year and i am considering reporting back to AMEC with a view to getting them to strike your hotel from our list. Tony Povah As above.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast that was included in the stay was very good. It is an older hotel which is fine, as we wanted more of the older architecture of the city, however, the beds in the rooms are uncomfortable making for a not so great night's sleep. We were only staying the one night and moving on to another city so it was fine for us, but someone staying there more than one night might find it problematic. I would recommend with reservations as noted above.

Food was great and restaraunt staff very friendly. location perfect for city centre. Price was fair Receiptionist is not welcoming. Very harsh, very crabbit and very unhelpful. Room was ok but ceiling tiles were falling in on some places

Handy for work, shops, rail station etc. (Centre of Aberdeen) Very good breakfast Bar/Restaurant Single Room, small and poor furnishings. Large windows overlooked by a cafe/bar and other flats buildings Very noisy due to clubs etc in close proximity. (Ear plugs recommended)

Generally the location was good. The initial receptionist may have given a little smile and not so blunt. The overall condition of the Hotel was poor especially the room which showed damp patches on the ceiling and wallpaper peeling, the conditions of the carpet was badly worn and overall the condition showed its age. Overall poor standards but good breakfast and generally friendly apart from the lack of the smile. As a coach operator I would not recommend this hotel and certainly not use it again unless nothing else available. I think above speaks all good staff generally poor conditions in bad need of refurbishment

Great hotel, perfect location, easy to reach due to location near bus and train station. Room was near entrance of first floor with entrance door hitting hard, therefore being a bit noisy. But this was no real problem in order to get to sleep. Wifi was very poor connection.

The location was great however, everything about the hotel and the rooms is tied and dated. Very basic amenities in the room, tired dated decore and general shabbiness of the place.

The house is comfort, clean and big wide enough for single person. The TV remote was not working and couldn't able to watch TV specially football on that day.

Only the location...This is the gloomiest place I've stayed in years...I Thought I was being transported back to "1970s" . The place was dark, intimidating, very run down, dirty beyond belief and falling apart. The breakfast was fair and the bar was OK but the place should be bulldozed into oblivion and the owners prevent from running a hotel ever again. TAKE THIS HOTEL OFF YOU SITE

the royal is just like live take 1 day @ i time if u do not like it after 1st day way go back we stayed in the royal in scarbourgh we hope 2 be back some time in march

was adequate for our needs . 5 guys away for the night . booking in could have been a bit sharper. however staff very friendly and helpful after this. food good . would stay again if on a guys nite .
